Here's mine. Just a run of the mill NS2A. I HAD one exactly like this I bought new in 1989 and used it in my bands up until I quit playing in the mid 90's. I sold it (STUPID!! STUPID!! mistake).:bawl:

Since I've started playing again, I've had American ones, Euros and even a black NS2A, but they were never quite right. So, when I saw this one, I just had to have it. I sometimes forget this is a replacement of my original!! Kind of like breaking up with your girlfriend, but then dating her twin sister. Close enough...;)

It still has the stock pickups, but was thinking of dropping EMG's into it. Seems that's what everyone did in the late eighties, but I've always was happy with my sound back then.

So here's my Legend 6, it came early which is sweet.

I had to borrow a camera which means I didn't have the docking station. Which meant I had to use my printer's card slot to print and then scan them (convoluted). This also means that I've spent more time getting this up than playing it (first impression- awesome). And will be remedied...now.:bassist:

Wow! You've made a great job then :) Now. Back to practice ;)

I want to join the club! I picked this up in a trade. Has gold hardware, 5 screw bolt on neck, EMG-HZ pickups with an active EQ with a nice stacked pot. The previous owner wired up the active EQ for 18v instead of 9v. I'm assuming it's a Classic of some kind, but I thought the classics had the EMG-SSD pickups and black hardware. Oh well, I'm digging it more than the MIM Fender Jazz bass with 60's reissue pickups I traded for it.

Do you remember the serial # on the old bass? I love the way this bass plays, looks and sounds. It's interesting to hear that you've owned more expensive "better" ones that you have not liked as much as the NS2A. I will keep that in mind as I GAS for more Spectors!

thats the original Legend it has emg active tone control that you can mod to 18 volts (much better sounding that way!!)

Doesn't look like it. I sold my original one about 10 years ago in Eagan Minnesota and included an aftermarket HSC, Schaller strap locks, an AxSak and I think a Gibson lightning blot strap. I should dig up an old picture and scan it in. It's no big deal really, but it'd be cool to get it back. Would make for a fun story anyway!

I don't remember a serial number on the original bass - I don't think it had one. My "new" NS2A does not have a serial number and it DOES have threaded insterts.
