I LOVE Spectors!

Hey guys, a quick question. Do you think that a Legend Classic with upgraded pickups (active) is worth 350 in mint condition? I'm a newbie, and I've come across a little bit of extra cash. So I figured I'd get a lower end model from Spector, since a lot of people tend to say they make great basses. Thanks in advance.

That is about $150-200 lower than the price of a new one. Depending on what active pickups it has been upgraded with (active EMGs and Spectors go together like PB&J), it could be a very good deal. Their Korean models are very competitive in their price range, as good as or better than anything else out there. I have a hard time imagining how you could do better for that much money. Post pics if you get it.

So far, so good!

I was thinking that Spector Club sounds so generic. I'd really like to hear some suggestions of a more elite name for the club and in brainstorming, maybe procure a logo and even parlay that into some merchandise. Can't let the LOG guys have all the fun!

We're filling up rather nicely! Keep 'em coming. As a matter of fact, if you would PM me with your request, it would help me put you all in order and keep track of all members. I've replied to all who've pm'd me and I'll post the list as it's updated.

Those are the pics off eBay. I can't tell if it's a Performer 4 or Classic anyway. Any help would be appreciated. There's other pics, but I can only add 2. Ones of the headstock, and the back of the guitar. It's got a black cover over the electronics, if that helps identify it any. And a bolt on neck.

That's an original Legend 4 string, not one of the current production models. Those came with EMG-HZ pickups, as opposed to the EMG-SSD's on the current ones, which are passive. The preamp on the original Legends is similar to the preamp on the current Legend Custom (bass/treble/mid boost/cut) If the seller is not the original owner, he may not know that the EMG's are stock and could be confusing an active preamp with active pickups, which are not the same.

Either way, if the bass is in good shape, it's a god buy.
