I have a gig later this month opening for a band that does hard rock covers of classic Nintendo games (while a member of the band speedruns the game on a projector), and even though it's a couple weeks early I think I will wear my Super Mario Halloween costume for the occasion. Hopefully the buttons on the overalls don't scrape the finish on my bass.

My wife and daughter, and some in-laws will be out of town the last week of October, so it’ll just be me and the dogs for Halloween, I’m taking the whole week off from work to do some recording. We don’t have any trick or treaters where we live, so if it’s not too cold, I’ll probably spend the evening sitting on the deck listening to the owls and coyotes.

Oh, almost forgot! The weekend after Halloween, we’re taking the grandson on a polar express train ride!

We may bring back something we previously did, which is to have two separate bowls for the trick-or-treaters: One with candy for the little kids in costume, and one with cheap-ass plastic toys for the lazy teenagers with no costume carrying pillow cases. I enjoy the looks on their faces.
My dad used to discreetly drop an ice cube in the bag of the lazy teens who didnt dress up. Hes lucky he didn't get stabbed or shot.

This is far from normal but later this month I'll be visiting Dollywood on my birthday, and I understand there will be pumpkins!
In general, while I don't care for horror movies, I do think Autumn...Fall, as you lot in the US call it...is my favourite time of year.
Be careful, Dollywood roller coasters are setting off Apple Iphone 14 and Apple watch crash alarms. :D

All in. This is from Saturday’s gig.
Love this season and Halloween is my favorite . There is an amazing parade in NYC and the costumes are incredible.

Halloween has always been a favorite for me because I love horror movies and it's a month of classic movies.
Otherwise, it can be depressing because it's the start of holiday season, which is nothing but stress for me.

I will be doing the usual ; Watching THE EXORCIST and handing out candy with my Jason mask...

... and Yes, Chocolate IS the best.

Well, after a rather quiet Pagan Pride event this year, I am looking forward to the Gem and Metaphyiscal Expo, which is actually in November, but November is still part of my favourite time of year! As long as the crock pots are running with stews and soups, and the temperature is below 25C, I'm happy. My wife already has a pretty nice gourd collection going this year!

Maybe I'll don that flaming helmet again and pretend to be part of the Crazy World of Arthur Brown for Halloween!

My buddy has the best displays for NW ABQ out on his yard. IMO I help him if I can. My carpenter's son runs the local freight house. Plenty of options. Since the kids left the house we stopped.decorating.

Japanese and Thai ghost and gore films will up the ante. Disturbing at the very least, mental fk if you are not prepared

Dia de los Muertos is even bigger here

It's a day of black clothes and cranking up October Rust by Type O Negative and Collection 2 from The Misfits. Oh wait, that's basically every day.

Last year I gutted and carved a good size pumpkin in 7 minutes. Maybe I can beat that this year.

We'll take the kids out for Trick or Treating and maybe watch a movie that's kid friendly. I'de rather watch The Evil Dead again and play my spooky Warwick

That thing must’ve been slapped like crazy to get the end of the fingerboard looking like that.

Cool finish.

Your fortress might be the coolest spooktober bass on the planet. I always adore moss finishes! Loving it.

Cool finish.
It was more of a grime and sun/UV damage thing that screwed up the Wenge. Its solid, just a little rough. Looks really cool though!

Thanks! I just wish the back matched (it's the factory emerald green color for those not familiar with this specific bass) it's such a cool bass, and I still love the Haunted Green Spector Dimension
