We don't do much. We used to go all out with projectors and laser lights and whatnot, but it's been hit or miss lately as to whether we're even home. Last year I had a gig, this year I do not. So we'll likely stay home and hand out candy to the little ones, whichever ones come to our door. That's about it.

Spooktober 2022 - are you In!?

We have a big Halloween show on the 29th, so not technically the day of Halloween but close enough. Im dressing as a white faced captain kirk in a blue jumpsuit.
I love fall for many reasons, though this year it's been harder to get out and enjoy it due to a raging wildfire in the area that's blanketing our air with smoke. Unfortunately this is becoming more and more common in the PNW, I am hoping it clears up by Halloween so I can take my kids out trick or treating without needing the full Darth Vader setup. I am also hoping that my oldest is finally old enough to enjoy the Nightmare Before Christmas.
I have a gig later this month opening for a band that does hard rock covers of classic Nintendo games (while a member of the band speedruns the game on a projector), and even though it's a couple weeks early I think I will wear my Super Mario Halloween costume for the occasion. Hopefully the buttons on the overalls don't scrape the finish on my bass.

Gonna have to hold it until Decemberween.
We are working on costumes. I still need to decide on my own. Kid wants to be an Orb Weaver spider. I still need to figure out how to construct the big butt on those things. Wife is going to be a web. I dont know what to be. Some prey animal? What do they eat?
Last year we had a funny family costume. We went as a door. I made a big door frame. Wood, cardboard, hinges and all. We set up in the park where the neighborhood apex of trick or treating was and had people knock to get candy.

So they should become goths then.My kids are teens now (you know… the annoying kind)
I miss helping them with their costumes. Liquid latex and fake blood were sooo fun to play around with as well as haunted gingerbread houses. Oh wait, we can still do the haunted gingerbread!!!!
My 16 year old just asked me about trick or treating this year….. sorry bud, your bigger than me now. I doubt you’ll pass as a little kid anymore.
Back in my day we got razor blades….and we liked it!
I love the people who think their kids are going to get edibles in their trick or treat bag. Trust me, no one likes your kids enough to give their edibles away.
Still binging cheesy 80s horror films. Just finished Slaughter High, terrible film yet very entertaining with over the top gore. Seeing Blood Rage next lol

Marshmallows
I never had marshmallows until a year ago. Same thing with s'mores. Mind you, we made them in the oven - not over a fire.
Theyre kinda good esp with coffee on the side.
