FYI, even the logos don’t seem to be consistent (unless the first one I tried was just a fluke). The logo was a dark pewter color and it looked a little blurry. The next one I unboxed was the standard gold and was done much nicer.Hi there!
Can anyone with a good camera and tons of light could take a close-up photograph of his/her new Squier bass headstock? I'd like to have a detailed picture of the new logo.
Thanks! Cheers

Here are some photos of my Daphne blue 60’s Jazz. It really is a great instrument with no third-party add ons needed. I will say the pickups are a little boomy on the e-string but lowering the pickup height fixed that easy enough.
I think I need to find one to try to compare to the previous generation 60s JB. These are envious
I was a little disappointed, but it was in no way a bad bass. I love the Daphne Blue and threaded saddle bridge, it's just that my old-model CV Jazz is REALLY good. Build quality was fine, the couple that I tried were a nice weight too. Pickups were slightly anemic to my ear, but that's a very easy fix - could have just been set too low.
But the VM P-basses seems to be unavailable in Europe now. None of the major dealers have them in stock anymore and they have been removed from the European Fender site. The new Indonesian CVs are now the only Squier P-basses available in Europe as far as I can tell (except some old stock at smaller dealers).
Are the VM P-basses heading for extinction or will they still be available in the US?
I think the new CVs are just a rebranded old VMs...

Beside the Daphne Blue are less accurate ( not as sexy as the one on Squier Deluxe Strat ) , I found the new CV60J sound dry and less juicy when I test and compare to current VM70 and VM77 jazz.
I believe FMIC wanna make she sound different than VM, but I think they did the mistake on new CV60J pickups from OEM pickup supplier.
Even my previous china CV60J stock pickup are low output compare to CV60P, but she still nail the sweet vintage jazz tone , pretty close to Pure Vintage 64 , just lack some fat low Mid and output.

You gotta now that glossy mapple fingerboards are of course more "juicy" than the rosewood/laurel fingerboards you find on 60s reissue.
Also, Jazz Bass usually have lower output than P. That's totally a thing. You learn to deal with it, or your get fat pickups, but you'll lose even more juice in the highs. I had a 2019 CV 70 JB for 5 minutes in my hands and the pickups were good. I think that they are the same on the 60, there's no reason for them to make different ones. That's kind of cool that you can adjust the pole pieces, you can't with US Fender pickups.
Woo! I didn't even know that was a colour option... I'd request pics, but I expect they'll be coming anyway![]()
