Squier Classic Vibe 2019

@S.F. Sorrow and Nick: thanks for so much for the info! This will be my first set of flats so this information is extremely helpful!
No problem! If it’s your first set of flats then I would strongly recommend the 760FL or FS set rather than the FM. La Bella DTFs are stiff even for flats - I went to the FM set after having used other flats for years and they were still too much for me. I LOVE the La Bella low tension flexible flats (LTF) - they might be worth a try as well. They’re low tension compared with DTFs, but are probably still stiffer than a typical round.

Can anyone confirm the tuners PEG size and hole size on the 2019 Squire CV Precision 70's 2019 Indonesia? I have a very old affinity precision with 3/8" pegs but not sure if the new ones are still the same. Purpose of my question is I'm interested in adding a drop tuner and wanted to see check if I will need to drill.

Also, what size hex wrench do i need for adjusting the truss rod? is it 4mm?

Does anyone here own the new CV 70s Precision in walnut? Is it a heavy bass? I really like the look but I have a bad back post injury and I'm unsure if Nato is a heavy body wood if indeed it is like mahogany, which usually is quite weighty.
I have no way of trying one out in person btw. Thanks.

Mine weighs about 7 or 8 lbs. Get a 3.5 polypropline strap and you won't even feel it

From my own experiences testing different straps i noticed that 2" - 2.5" soft poly or cotton straps are much better on my neck and back because they wrap much better than 3" - 4.5" leather straps. Every time i tested a wide leather strap my neck would need to recover for 2 days. I own the Squire CV 2019 Walnut, it's very light with a very slim neck, the gloss on the fret board makes it sparkle a little on the high tones so which makes it sound like a 70's Jazz bass when you slap.

Mine is 7.9 on the scale. Easily one of the most beautiful basses I have ever owned. It is really stunning in person. I wasnt the biggest fan of the pickups but that was my fault as they hit the 70s p tone perfectly. For my personal tastes a more 60s voicing is perfect but I just couldnt pass on how amazing it looked. Once I swapped the p/u it perfect

Is it just me or is it impossible to find a CV 60s in fiesta red or sonic blue? I check Ebay and the classifieds here regularly.....literally havent seen a one.....
The availability of all the used China CVs has really dried up. In 2017-2018 they were plentiful. Still see them pop up, but the prices have risen some. Keep watching they still surface on occasion.

Yep, as above mine is super light and very pretty! The whole colour scheme of walnut with black blocks and black binding is great.

My CV 60s Precision was listed on GC's used site as a regular Squier in Surf Green, so it may make sense to keep an eye out for inaccurately listed items. Still keeping an eye out for a Fiesta Red one at a reasonable price.

I've been eying these for a while now. Gorgeous! What's your impression? ... and while I have a high limit for weight, I believe there's such a thing as being too light as well. Any neck dive?
I love it! I will probably install a thumb rest on top, the stock picks ups werent my cup of tea but were voiced great for what a 70s pbass would sound like. So some may ask why I bought this bass and that is simple. It looks awesome. I swapped the pick ups to some out of 58 reissue fender and bingo. Everything else , to me, has been awesome. I threw some Ghs precission flats on not to long ago and i love the tone. No neck dive at all for me. ( I play with my bass pretty high). I have owned a lot of basses and this is one of my favorites. I love the feel of the neck as well.

Picked this up yesterday for £180. Mint condition. Really nice dark fretboard. Plays great. nice and light too.
I can't find fault with It anywhere. Tuners work great, no high frets. I have an upgraded loom I'm going to stick In it with bourns pots. Anyone changed the pickup in theirs or happy with what's In it? It sounds a little thin for a p bass but never actually owning a real 60's p I have no Idea If that's the norm. I've read how some are hit and miss but this is a good one.
