The gold leaf logo is such a beautiful touch on these necks... I thought it was only for the earlier years but this maple neck is from 2018 and still has the beautiful gold logo that I prefer!

When it shines, it can be see so well...

Yet another... not entirely Classic Vibe ; with a newly released Sonic series California Blue Precision Bass body

At least, this parts-bass boasts a REAL, unused before today 1st gen Classic Vibe hi-mass bridge with nickel saddles:

The poor's man International Color series Maui Blue Precision Bass... I will add bridge and pickup covers with the thumb rest too.

I don't think that I posted these here in this thread, but I put together this alder and nitro shoreline gold from MJT with Fralin 5% overwound pickup, using the neck off my 2009 fiesta red classic vibe. Once I find the perfect neck for this body, the fiesta red will be put back together. But this neck is so great that it's hard to find the motivation to buy a new neck.

It plays perfectly, I just need to replace the foam under the pickup, one split is a bit loose.
And this neck and fretjob is so great...

This fretjob is better than most Mexico/US fretjobs but let's not say it too loud, because people will be mad that their US frets are "sprouting". LOL

In my experience, it's not the forum, but the limitations of posting to it on a mobile device. If it's not just some text and some emojis, I wait until I'm at a proper computer for full functionality. That, and a free Imgur account and I can share pics for years without using up my storage space with a billion redundant attachments.

Here is my Classic Vibe James Johnston, which to my knowledge is essentially a Classic Vibe with a cool blue paint job. Regardless, I bought this new 7 1/2 years ago because it played and sounded great. I still feel that way to this day. This rather inexpensive bass has prevented me from buying many other much more expensive basses simply because this covered my needs so well and sounded so good. I did just purchase a newer basses (only the 2nd bass I've purchased since I bought this JJ bass, and the first one was a really cheap SBMM Ray 4 that I sold after about a year), but I have no intention of selling this off. This is such a quality jazz bass!

Got the same and love it so far. Learning bass after a many years of woodwinds. Still a beginner but wanted something unique that wouldn't break the bank. Changed the knobs, added p/u cover. May add a thru body bridge
for sustain. Worked in the tech industry for decades so how it plays and the the way it plays is important to me.

after my Precision 60s Fiesta Red, now I have a Precision 50s Sunburst in transit home.
It comes with a white pickguard, I'm considering exchanging it for a Tortoise - is it compatible with the Fender 51/54 model?
Those who have this bass, is the humming too bad?

So that Fiesta P Bass I once had. I bought it back lol though sadly the original owner kept the Tort pick guard. Finding the OG tort is hard to find in the market so I'm thinking about changing the guard to black for now.

I always liked that fiesta red Squier Classic Vibe. Kind of a budget version of the Pino Palladino P bass.

Get a real Fender tort pickguard. That's what I did on my J60s. The original of course is the original but I don't like its marble like texture. I prefer a real tortoise.
