Squier Classic Vibe Club (Part 3)

Hi,
here's my modded CV PB 51 with an AllPart EB style Mudbucker.

I changed the volume pot for a 4P rotary(1:bypass;2:PU1;3:PU1+PU2;4:PU2).

It's like getting 2 telecaster basses in one !

I love it.

Hey all... I'm getting ready to post an ad in the classifieds for my sonic blue CV P bass with the CV J neck if anyone is interested. I figured I'd give you guys a heads up. It's got Dimarzio pickups in it as well as a black replacement pickguard. I'm getting ready to move and I have to downsize.

Do you have any audio samples? Invalid Link Removed to mine and I love the tones I get out of it! :bassist:

Hi Joseph,

don't have any sample yet...

What I can say is that the HB is not so "muddy" as I expected, but it adds some interesting low end to the sound. I find that the E string is a bit lower than the others, but nothing annoying.

The combination of the 2 PU is quite nice too, not so far from a rickenbacker sound...

How do you manage the PU selection on your bass ? is that a switch (I'm not sure on you pics) ?

I let tou know when I post some samples.

Yes, I always keep my volume and tone full-on 99% of the time, so a blend or individual volume knobs would not cut it for me. I went for a Les Paul switch (although I woul have preffered a mini-toggle switch)

Spend few months try both Stock & Fender Original 62 Ri pup with few 0.022, .033,.047, Stock .068 & .1uF PIO cap. Finally 62Ri pup + Stock .068Uf cap become my favor.
highly recommand Fender 62Ri PUP.

Me too! Coming from Sweetwater by Friday is my new Butterscotch CVP50s!!!

I think I got the last one they had in stock. Gotta love being able to see the one you're going to get before they send it! They give you the serial# AND the weight, and then perform a 45-point checkup and setup to make sure it's ready-to-play right out of the box. Can't say enough good things about my Sweetwater experience, and the individual customer service I got from Tyler Berggren, my Sales Engineer!
