I got the indo made CV50P just now.

The neck profile is notable different than mic CV50P , this sunburst 50P neck has pretty similar feel like VM PJ and my previous VM Fretless P. Quite comfort on my hand but still not as great as my Fiesta Red CV60P neck.

The body wood look boring, the Pine wood has better wood grain on my previous white blonde CV50P.

The tunings machine look cheap whIch same use on Affinity series and contemporary series. Turning feel less smooth than previous VM and mic CV bass tuning machine.

So far so good , still not as impressive as the mic CV bass.

I break the trussrod on my CV60P today.
Since the lockdown here, make a call to my trust luthier and he told me that the trussrod use on Squier bass and guitar are very low quality. Not recommend me to repair it but he try help me to find a replacement neck.

Sorry to hear that, bummer. I've never had any hints of problems with my 5 1/2 Squier necks. Both my Mike Dirnt's and both my Cabronita's are made in Indonesia.
Were you tightening it when it broke ? Could you please share any history of any previous adjustments to your neck ?

Trussrod break while I tighten it after install Fender 9050M .
I been use lot of different bass string on this bass since 2013, from high tension Labella 760FM to low tension Ti flat with zero issue on trussrod adjustment.
Every time I only give trussrod less than 1/4 turn, then check the neck relief after 24 hours, and repeat the same procedure until I found my favorite neck relief.

You would think it would have broke 6 or 7 years ago if it was defective but, nothing surprises me.

When I do an adjustment, I loosen the strings. If I feel any resistance at that point, I brace the instrument between my knees and pull back on the neck gently to take the tension off the truss-rod.
I actually have one Bass (an Epiphone Korina Explorer) that has too much back-bow and I have to tighten the rod in the opposite (counter-clockwise ) direction when using my go-to DR Hi-Beam Stainless roundwound strings, 45-105, adding forward bow. I tried heavier strings, 50-110, and could hear the truss-rod rattle because, to get the proper set-up, the truss-rod didn't have hardly any tension on it at all. That's the only Bass I've ever had that I needed a two way truss-rod. I'm happy that it has a modern two way adjustable truss-rod.

If you can't find someone to replace the truss-rod, I wish you luck in finding a good replacement neck.
Keep the broken neck in case you someday find someone to repair it.

The trussrod repair are costly, almost possible spend for a new Squier CV bass .
Maybe a Player neck or get the Vintera p instead.
Decision, decision, decision.....

I've heard countless stories of broken trussrod on expensive Fenders too, so... here's mine. I've got 4 Classic Vibe (1st Gen) necks (3 rosewood 60s, 1 one-piece maple 70s), all trussrods on these neck are super smooth to adjust. I bought 2 Mexican Fender (60s Classic and FSR Ash 70s Jazzs) and 1 Japanese Fender (Geddy model), all these 3 instrument had super hard trussrod to turn...

Plus I wouldn't trust your luthier generallising about Squier trussrods. These 1st Gen CV instruments had double action trussrod. If you broke it... you really "wanted" it!

Why don't you fix the trussrod on that neck? Cause it's expensive to fix? And the value of the neck is too low? Earth gave us wood. Well, you've paid little money for the instrument at first, so why not spending money on fixing it now? Buying a new cheap neck instead? With a cheap trussrod, possibly? Or another cheap instrument? With a mostly cheap trussrod inside the neck of that new cheap instrument? The Earth gave us that wood. Fix the trussrod of the CV neck! Most people break their trussrod cause they adjust them with string tension full on!!

I just leave the CV60P at the moments ......
At the same times, I return the indo CV50P and exchange with sub ray 5 in blue satin. Unfortunately the ray5 arrive with off align from neck join till bridge. Pack and return again. Now, I am waiting for another ray5......

I bought 2 basses of the SQUIER CLASSIC VIBE 60's series and I am thrilled! the set consists of a fiesta red (pino style) p-bass and lake placid blue (james johnston) jazz bass. Both basses are well made and sound really great, just like a p- or jazz bass should sound! : great:
I made small optical modifications for both basses. I have replaced the pickguards with original fender 62er tortoise pickguards, it worked smoothly, the screw holes of the pichguards sit 1a above the holes in the bass! absolutely perfect! I'm a fan of tortoise styles! the original p-bass pickguard was too brown for me personally. I also replaced the two "knurled chrome dome" knobs with the original flat fender p-bass / tele knobs. the chrome covers are still there! thinks it's just awesome ... next week Thomstik JF344 flats strings, then it will be really oldschool !
at the jazz bass, as I mentioned above, I also exchanged the mint green pickguard for a tortoise 62, very classy! the caps follow in belde, you still need the original bridge here, because the built-in himass bridge doesn't fit the original bridge cover.

Definitely a great collection, the pre CIC CV bass just smoke the indo CV in all aspects.
