The screws that Fender sells as standalone parts are smaller and meant for celluloid pickguard, I've found
Picked up a super inexpensive black guard on Amazon that was an exact fit drop-in replacement for my ‘12 CV Jazz.
The brand name is FLEOR and the guard came sealed in a heavy duty branded ziploc bag.
I had to peel off not one but TWO layers of clear protective laminate and it even came with a set of screws.

I recently ordered 2 10 hole pickguards thru Ebay that came packaged the same way w/ screws branded FLEOR.
The Silver Pearl was $10.25 and the Black Pearl w/ truss rod adj. notch was $10.97. Delivered in 4 days.
I ordered a Black and a Silver Pearl both because I couldn't make up my mind. Now I want a Black one also.
The same day I ordered a fancy control plate from a different seller out of Calif. for $10.99 and it arrived
the same day as the PG's.
A 3 ply Black one is $8.99 w/free shipping

The 2012 are the CIC right? I recently got a 2009 CIC and had a pearloid guard floating around (that had been on a Fender Jazz bass from who knows when) and it totally didn't fit. But I did like the pearloid look. So if FLEOR is a fit I might have to check it out!

You're going to love that bass! I have the same one, and it plays and sounds amazing. I switched out the pick ups and put in some Lindy Franlin's.
My Squier CV60P still play great and look great.

Though, here's my take on my custom Squier Classinity Vibe 60s Precision Bass composed of a Candy Apple Red body and its original pickup, but replace pickguard, and bridge, and a factory rejected neck from the 1st Classic Vibe series! Rejected because of two small defects on the poly finish on the back of the neck and one on the headstock (can you spot it?)!

A few weeks ago I bought a Squier CV Mustang Bass in Surf Green. It's fit, finish, feel and playability is great, easily the equal of my MIJ Fender Mustang bass except the Squier sounds better.
Haven't gotten around to taking any pictures of it yet but it looks just like this one...

Just picked this one up today, still has the plastic on the pickguard!
Got call from GC, they have few CV mustang (Pre-order by others buyer) arrive and 1 for demo piece (Honestly i have more GAS on CV50P in Sunburst).
She is pretty light, overall build quality and fit fell better than indo-CV60P and indo-CV J.
Surf green look very nice in real life , but the fretboard wood still look dull and grey-ist.
Great playing feel (seldom play short scale) .
Tone wise i have no comment , but i found aggressive pluck skill (full open tone knob) able make the tone much sexy/cool than normal plucking on this bass.
They is notable hum from pickup (bother me .... )when wide open tone knob. Touch the string and they less notable but i still hear some hum. Very similar like my previous CIC CV50P.
In past, some report that E string sound boomy and less clarity than A,D and G string on short scale bass, but no such problem on this CV mustang.
