Hi everybody. I just bought my daughter a CV 70's Jazz Bass. The finish is tinted orange to make it look like an old nitro Bass. It plays and sounds great... and looks amazing. It's a Natural with a Maple body.

Good morning. I have been looking for a Squier Club...they seem to be pretty specific...
Here's my recently GAS fueled acquisition. A Squier CV '60s P bass in Fiesta Red. I really like this bass. I have been playing it exclusively since I received it a week ago. Great sound and playability right outta the box.
I'd love a number if it's still a thing...?

One of the best basses ever made imho. It’s really unbelievable how good these and the Matt Freeman Precisions are.
Thanks It really is a nice bass, I have a couple other Squiers, not CV's, not sure where to post them. I wish there was a more general Squier thread...

They seem to be be even harder to come by than these Fiesta Red beauties . Built at same factory just with a thicker neck, maple fretboard and different pickup. Based on a 70’s Precision. Came in all black or aged white with black pickguard .
Both of these models seem to go for $500 give or take currently . Kind of different to see China basses increase in value . But they are worth every penny. I’ve owned 7 different ones and they were all consistently good. Used to get them for $300 give or take . Even as low as $200. You won’t find that anymore unless someone just doesn’t know what they have. move seen them go for as high as $600.
Heads up to anyone who is searching . There are 2 CV60’s Precisions Fiesta Red on Ebay. Same place I bought my last one. Wow one even still has the sticker on the pickguard and looks like the plastic on the pickup . I see prices are still climbing. I bought mine less than 1 year go for quite a bit less.

The Matt Freeman's are really nice. Has a white one. The neck is living on a Cabronita body I traded to our guitar player to dink around on. He loves it too. I know a guy with a black one and a couple of the 2 pickup Modern Player Telecaster basses he wants to off load but he's not really putting them out there. If I weren't in the middle of a project I'd be bugging him.
Congratulation!!!! Keep it , my pre-love China CV bass has better/on pair build quality to current Fender Player Pbass. I love it low Vintage fret , comfort neck , smooth fretboard edge , stable neck ....blah blah blah.....
until i break the truss rod after 8 years i own it. And few used piece i meet all has terrible usage condition.
Be excited every time i saw a great used china CV60P share on TB.....
Thanks for the heads. The Matt Freeman's are new to me, do you have to search using that name?...or how do you distinguish them?
Its hard to know which model squires are the good ones except by word of mouth...

Yes search Squier Matt Freeman or Squier Classic Vibe Matt Freeman .
They have brass saddles , came in off white or black finish with black pickguards . His signature is on front headstock . Serial numbers start with CGS.

If the Paranormal 54 Jazz Bass had a Tele style headstock, I would already have one.
I've decided to just make my own since I found an unbeatable deal on a Tele neck and long stem vintage Gotoh tuners on Stratosphere. I just ordered a Custom Alder Slab Jazz body from ebay with the square heel neck pocket and one split coil P route for $100. Dependent on the bridge I use, I won't be much different in price. I'll have some hours of work in it, especially the body finish.

I actually more prefer wider nut width and thicker Pbass neck over jbass neck myself.

Ya Got'sta believe I'll be posting photo's of it everywhere when it's finished. It may be a couple of months if I send the body out to a friend who does professional work. I've never done any binding and I don't want this one to be my first. Once I get the Slab Jazz body and fit everything together, I'll decide if it needs binding. If I decide not to bind the body and I spray it in Lacquer, it'll be about a month. The estimated delivery date on the unfinished body is still 2 weeks out. It's "hurry up and wait" for now.
Almost half of my Basses have the thinner Jazz width necks but I really don't huge preference for one over the other.
I’ve had this one ( my 7th one) for just about a year now and haven’t posted a pic yet.
I’ve been jonesing for a P with flats to add to my stable. I just ordered a Squier CV 60’s Precision from Sweetwater, along with a set of Labella Flexible Flats. I’m hoping it will scratch my P-bass itch.
