My CV60’s Pbass might be my least expensive bass but it plays just as nicely and holds its own.

Chromes are great on a SCPB! I see a Fender hi-mass and a Duncan QP in mind and I'm happy with those. I did have the neck, reverse tuners and bridge from a MIM Cabronita that I sold the body from so that's what I used, but happy with bridge and pickups and with a Cabby neck...it's oh-my.Threw some chromes on my lpb 50s pbass, 45-100 I think. Completely woke the bass up. Good “mod” to hold me over while I decide what to do with the bridge/pickup situation. Great flavor enhancer with the stock electronics.

Full retro would be sweet. Yup.I have a badass2 and a duncan blackout pre-amp I originally wanted to pair with a QP in this thing. But all the effort needed to swap a badass2 has got me on the fence about re-drilling for string-thru and going with a lollar to go full retro.... decisions decisions

Put a purely cosmetic bridge cover on my CV 60s P.
My bass DOES have big balls.Nice ! but..... the "Doraemon-Pocket-type" aliexpress pbass bridge cover just make your CV60P look like XXL size underwear cover a pair of big balls......... sorry.... i am drunk....
More picsHey guys first time in here, so I have a 2015 CV in Fiesta Red. I have replaced the pickguard with a US fender one, US knobs, Hipshot reverse tuners, Emerson potentiometer pots and switchcraft jack and put in Aguilar p60s and fender Ashtrays . It’s strung with Daddario Chromes she sounds and plays remarkably

I hope you can find another one. Keep looking.

I already try 2 CV60P and Mattfreeman p in moderate condition. All of them has notable heavy fretwear , dirty hardware, scratch/dent ....... no one come close my previous 9 years old CV60P condition.
GC told me that Paranormal 54J born from China (maybe from same previous CV factory ?), even I don't like it look, but I wanna try it out myself while stock available, hope she has previous china CV build quality and tone.
Meanwhile, I have interested on schecter CV4 too , she has unique passive electronic like G&L tribute L2K, but only few review and not guarantee 100% mimid those J, P and MM nicely.
. Lobster posted this in the Show Your Basses thread. The answer to your question is : no. Not made by Grand Reward. Same poopy tuners than the Indonesian one, same tuners on Affinity series, worst than previous Vintage Modified series. Don't expect anything good. It's going to BE CRAP. And I weigh my words! Anybody buying modern crap, expect to get crap. Get the used stuff. Save the trees.
Welcome back !!Bought a CV50P couple weeks ago , but not china version ~ Indonesia Sammick made CV50P white blonde.

This piece sound different and a bit better QC than the one i bought (sunburst) on Feb 2020. The Pickups sound bigger and higher output even i drop the pickups height to 4mm on E and 3.5mm on G (adjust while press the last fret wire), this is weird on single pole piece magnet pickups. The stock Fender string sound a bit blur and less clarity , but after i swap with Labella LTF4A the bass present nice organic woody tone.
There are weak A and D string output on stock flush pole piece magnet pickups. But this is easy DIY work and problem solve after raise the A and D magnet rod.
So far i can accept it 60 hum. Even done the copper sheilding , the hum still notable sometime but not annoying me since this stock pickups sound nice to my ear.

I also like the China made Para 54J (try 2 units) sound with stock bass string while i play at GC, she has better QC than Indo CV50P. I just dont want their 10+lbs weight.....
