Squier Classic Vibe Club (Part 3)

I was wondering because I think I'd want a bit more aggressive tone than the LaBella's would offer. I've got most of my basses strung with EB Cobalt Flats. Nice, smooth feel and a good growl/clarity.

I've used cobalt flats on every bass for years on all my basses but I wanted to have a p w classic flats on it in the arsenal

This is for sale locally by a guy that sells a lot of guitars and basses. I don't think he's a proper "store" per-say but he does a lot on FB Marketplace. This to me looks like a CIC 60's CV P bass neck that has been put on to a Vintage Modified P bass body, am I correct? Or were there early CV P basses that has a this color/pickguard combo? The listing does state that the Seymour Duncan QP pickups and the thumbrest were added.

I currently have a CIC CV 70's P. Should I consider selling that one to try and pick this up?

looks to me like it’s a parts Squier Bass. Matt freeman body, random squier CV neck added to it.

Does that look like one of the coveted CIC 60's P necks though? CGS prefix and all?

Yes 2010 CIC p neck 100%
My guesses:
Matt Freeman body OR
FSR CIC 50's P bass OR recent CV body with an added bridge/brass
with the 2010 CIC neck/tugbar...

The pickup is a Seymour Duncan .

The neck and bridge is Classic Vibe 60’s P .

The body isn’t a Matt Freeman. It is too white. Those basses had a slight yell of wish tint like aged white.

I would not buy it.

There is a blue CV60s P ( original ) for sale on Talk Bass for a great price.

If you want one in fiesta red , pm me. I might have one available.

I think your right, I looked around a bit last night, the MF definitely is more of an aged white. I don't remember the VM's having the high-mass bridge with brass saddles anyone else know?

Also can't remember seeing a white CIC P bass, I remember the white J basses it's the bass that first got me looking at this line...

Update.... my new bass arrived. I have played it and changed strings to my favorite TiI flats because like flats on a Pbass. but I know it is too big for my small female hands. So I'm saying myself over $2k and returning it. Keeping my beloved CV60's P. This officially ends my quest for a P5. Too bad. The bass is beautiful but just too big of a neck. My hands cramp and get numb after 15 minutes.

The earlier CV60P only has solid blue/white guard before 2011 or 12. Once the fiesta red 60P appear, there are also brown and black version in some country.
