That 50's P is calling me, too. I had one of the Vintage Modified Tele basses when they first came out and it looks like the same neck. And it was really a nice neck. I'd be worried about the pick-up humming badly as well, but for $299 bucks, you can always upgrade to a better pickup and you'll still be ahead of the game. I can't wait to put my hands on one of these. )-(

That 60's P bass is mine. I just ordered a 62 p bass pickup for my frankenbass, its going right in there

Funny, I ordered a Sadowsky Metro Precision that will look the same as the 60's P and I'm currently saving up for another Sadowsky Metro that will look just like the 60's Jazz. Squier is reading my mind!

I was just going to purchase the CIJ Fender '51 reissue, but this Squier looks pretty good! I'll stick with the Fender 51, but do I need a new Jazz bass . . .
