Needs a new output jack, pickguard is a bit bowed like it wasn't quite made for the bass, mismatched pickguard and ashtray cover screws and plenty of hum!
So I'll install a new output jack, copper tape shielding, try a aged white and aged pearl pickguard (see which one looks best, and fit matching screws.....
Apart from that, I managed to find a position where i could get get 5 minutes of playtime (before the crackling and hum kicked in) and all I can say is......wow! Feels great, well balanced and sounds like no other Precision I've played. And I've tried several with all different high end pickups and harnesses. Even the 15 plus year old rounds are like wow! Perfect match! Great sounding bass. Will definitely just tidy it up a bit as mentioned above and "Rock it as is!!"
