Squier Bronco body, neckplate, and pickguard (with contact paper covering), Squier Musicmaster bridge (modded for top loading), Mustang neck and knobs, Hipshot Ultralight tuners, and EMG Strat pickup.

I guess it's a "Squender"

Hi Squier Enthusiasts...

Question, will a Mighty Mite Jazz neck fit directly on my Vintage Squier? (I have the 'Jaco-esk' fretless model)...

Any other suggestions would be helpful... I want to put a maple/maple fretboard neck on this bass... I only bought it for parts/the body...

oh my... is it really that dark a blue??? and is it slightly sparkley as well?

i think the black pickgaurd makes the blue stand out much more then with the white pickgaurd, and yes it's pretty metallic

Started out on an Affinity P-Bass seven years ago, sadly I no longer have it, gave it to a dude at church who was just starting out after I upgraded to a Warwick. I picked up a Vintage Modified Precision about a year ago as a backup, and I love it! For the price it absolutely can't be beat, its construction is solid and it gives me a great cutting-through tone.

Anyone compare the Classic Vibe 50's with the Fender single coil models with the vintage bridges? Is there a big difference. Is the p/u hotter in the Classic?

Not sure on the PU's in the classic but I changed out the PU's in the one I'm selling, put a PU from Hwy1 in it and really upgraded the tone.

Here are mine.

I liked the 70's VM so much I Bought two more.

The Fretless VM from a fellow TBer, currently has flats on it, awesome sound.

The Modified Precision was marked down at Guitar Center to $180 and I also had a 10% off coupon. Too good to pass up.

My first bass was a Squier Affinity Series P-bass 7 years ago and I still have it. I haven't done a thing to it except put a new input jack, pick guard, and control knobs (along with a sticker and writing stuff on the pick guard with a Sharpie). I haven't even had to do any adjustments to the truss rod or saddles at all. It's like it was made FOR me. And I gotta say, I love the tone of it more than any Fender I've ever tried, and people who I've played with are surprised it's a Squier.

Here's my late '80's Korean Squier Jazz Bass - I bought it on ebay a few months ago for peanuts, it was a really low bid and I didn't bother to chase it, only found I'd won when the email arrived. It needed a refit - scratch plate, good setup, a coouple of frets filed, new bridge, knobs, and has some dings and scratches but only light cosmetic stuff which doesn't bother me as it was so cheap and its a great workhorse. In fact the neck is so playable its my instrument of choice now when gigging and it had a really great range of tones. It's so nice to play I'm now thinking is it worth going for a good pickup upgrade or should I be happy with the tones I'm getting and leave be? - I'm more than happy with the current tones but I never know what I might be missing and i have constant GAS. Has anyone got any recommendations for good 3rd party JB upgrades?

Count me in. Here is my heavily-modded Squire Bullet Bass. Her name is Karma. I've been playing her since 1993. Mods include Seymore Duncan BassLines pups, a Squire Strat jack ferrule (mounted in reverse to line the cable up with the lower straplock), and a new paintjob.
