hooo that looks nice!!! I've been debating a bridge cover for mine as well.... do you pluck with your thumb, or is the finger-rest just hangin out down there?

Man you just stole my idea :D
I played one of those and the lpb telebass and WOW those new basses are awesome they sound very good and the yellowed neck looks cool. I think my VM P will get a sonic blue brother sometime soon:)

I am using the Rotosound Billy Sheehan Roundwound SS Sets, and The Rotosound RS77LD SS Monel Flats. I really like the feel of the BS Rounds, they are not too bright due to them being stainless..............Love the 43 to 110 guage too!:cool: The Monel Flats still have some performance, without sounding too "dead"................They kick like a Mule on a P Bass!;)

Haha I've come quite a long way since posting that...I even have a GW single cut in the works...and it sure does still play better than a lot of other bass.Highly recommended as a first or second bass. Off with shelf with a good setup, leveling job, and some DRs and you are set to go

Have the Bello Squier. Only one like it in the store. Liked the p/j pickup combo, along with the thinner neck. As for the graphics design, well...what's important is, as a new bassist, it feels and works just fine for me. And I was really impressed with the quality of workmanship and materials, especially when compared to other brands in the same price range...

OK. I'm getting tired of looking through this thread to see if any numbers have been handed out since this thread began. I've been waiting since last January, I posted a pic of my Squier P last March, and it's now November (Thanksgiving Day, to be exact). So what's going on?:confused:

SRT80 posted his Squire while mine was still curing...I thought,Dang that just what I'm doing.Nice Bass Steve!

This Mexican Squire came to me as a basket case..Neck and body came from Craig's list..$40.00.The pickups are 80's MIJ.The body and neck were stripped,dings repaired, and than given the ReRanch nitro treatment.I used tinted clearcoat on the back of the neck for that vintage look,than finished it up with Tru Oil.The color is Sonic Blue...looks just like SRT80's stock color.She now sports a brass nut and GHS Flats.All of the hardware is leftover MIJ stuff from the parts bin.I went with a sixties waterslide on the headstock.

I've said it before...Squire Basses make a great platform for modding and rehab.You can pick them up cheap,put some time into those pesky fret overhangs and you have a Bass that is worthy of playing out anywhere.So here's another Squire back from the dead.
