Ok, so we have a gig tomorrow, after practice on Wednesday I took my P5 home so all I had to pack tonight after practice was my pedalboard. That left me with my VM P5 to play since I decided to use my Zon as a backup and already had it at home. The band REALLY liked the VM P5, as did a guitarist who was there to listen. He said he heard every note I played and that I cut through really well. On the way home, my carpooling lead guitarist said the white bass really sounded good.
So anyway, it makes me a little frustrated I don't get those comments about the P5 or Zon 5/1. Maybe they get used to hearing them and noticed the different tone? The last bass I played which got that big of reaction was my Signature Roscoe SKB 3005, which would list at over $6,000 to build! Oh well, a nice compliment for a $299 bass.
