So who is booked this weekend? We're playing a three-hour gig - got billed as a dance band (we're not) for a heavily lrish-themed fundraiser. We don't play Irish music (not even U2 and we have a sub drummer. What could possibly go wrong?! It'll be fine, I just hope we don't disappoint.

'No gig here. My next one is Memorial Day.

Booked all last weekend, this weekend, and most of this week. I love it but am kinda glad when it's over.

We were booked for Saturday night for a private event before we got St. Paddy's opportunities. We decided not to make it a long weekend so I get the night off for the first time in a while. Ok by me.

No evening gigs this weekend, but my Blues Brothers tribute will have its biggest audience of the year tomorrow morning in the Boston St. Pat's Parade. Six-figure crowd - maybe seven! Unfortunately most of them only hear us for a couple of minutes as we go by. This was last year:

Next weekend my bar band will be in a new venue and we've added Shipping Up to Boston to the set list as post-St.-Pat's afterglow.

We played a "church social group" St Party's themed party featuring a sing-a-long set. We've been playing this gig For the past 20 years - every year except during the height of the pandemic. We laugh about it, but its always fun and this year was no exception.

The establishment asked us specifically to play there, and…it's an early gig.

I had this beverage in other bars is just a name the put on some concoction of a drink.
