Stage 81: S/D thread

Without sounding like a total wanker, I almost always rip off the main bass riff from The People Mover when soundchecking . Yeah, its THAT embedded into my skull from the number of times I've had it on repeat lol.

Still waiting for the day Hippie Killer gets a vinyl release. I've pretty much given up on trying to find a copy of Heroin. Then my Bongripper collection will be (almost) complete!

Then you are in luck, both are getting vinyl releases in the near future. Hippie Killer late sometime in December pressing of 500. Heroin is going to be pretty limited press at 300 copies and will out sometime early 2014.

The missus wants to gift me a pedal for Xmas - but around the $100 AUD range. Been looking around and I've found an MXR Carbon Copy and an MXR Bass Octave Deluxe for around that price. Not sure which I'd be more keen on. Octave is hella fun but I like to muck around with octave-up more than sub octave. Also, I probably see myself playing with the delay's oscillation more than the fundamental delay effect lol. What to do...

I have seen some Foxrox Octron going for aroun $130 lately, maybe add a bit more cash and have both octave up and down. The Carbon Copy rocks too!!! Probably have more use for delay, but oh goodness octaves are fun!!!
Edit starting to wish I bought some reverb instead ot he Carbon Copy because I mostly just set it for reverb/ambience anyway, so maybe check that out too. I saw Hall Of Fames going for $110 shipped or best offer new on ebay yesterday.

The answer is fuzz ;). Moar fuzz to be exact ;)

Sadly I can't find any Foxtrot goods in my neck of the woods. And its so hard to convince peeps here on the TB classifieds to ship outside the CONUS.

Considered a reverb a long while ago but after trying one, I came to the conclusion it wasn't for me. Felt it worked better on guitars than basses. That's just me, though.

Lol, I'm looking to replace my BBM actually but I can't find anything both to my liking AND affordable. I really, REALLY want a Tall Font Russian but I can't get one here for less than $250 AUD. Even if I get one shipped from the States through eBay, I still need to fork out something ridiculous for shipping like $30. One guy here is selling a Pickle Pie B but I'm not a fan of its sound. I like my fuzz dark and husky.

Fuuuuuuuuuck

Morning gents,

Throwing back coffee while my car warms up on this twenty degree Weds. I hope everyone gets to enjoy a day off of drinking/eating/avoiding family/whatever else you may be doing tomorrow. Be safe out there.

Edit: I hope to avoid that mystic powder. Since I drive a large 4wd SUV it always means everyone I know calls me at 5am begging for rides to work. Efffff-that.

^ Indeed. About to have me 5 days of awesomess. Starting tonight with High on Fire beer swiggin whiskey sippin. Tomorrow sore neck face stuffing and whiskey pounding. Then see what happens from there.

Just a half day of work today, and then off to get my first allergy shot, and weekend comes early!!! Man I can't believe how much it rained, heavy, steady, and all night long and still going strong!!!

Ever talk to Ryan at fuzzrocious? I know he ships international and pretty much makes one of the beat all end all big muff variants. Granted its out of your price range a bit. And your not really looking for a fuzz ;)

I shed a single tear yesterday jamming some Sleep riffs on my Tele, A/Bing between the Rat clone and Grey Stache... yet again the Grey Stache makes another pedal insignificant.

Rat still delivers for low-gain overdrive, but Grey Stache reigns supreme for fuzz world!

How much do used Supercolliders go for? You should nudge the lady towards the classified ads, get more bang for your buck going used!
