Reminds me of whenver I am in GC or Sam Ash or any guitar store for that matter, I always seem to end up at them like ten minutes before they are closing(hmm, bet the old lady does that on purpose). So I do this mad dash to the used pedal cases, then over to the used guitar racks, flipper or not, is it on my keeper or must try list, nah, then if I scout a possible flipper I jump on ebay completed listings quick, yeah ok, I'll take it, lol.

I wish my local craigslist was better, I always have to sell on ebay. I have a code though flippers are ebay only. TB and I Love Fuzz are not my flippers, they are my test outs and usually sold at break even or a loss to me.

Nope, sorry. We didn't use a book, it was just practical instruction from a teacher. He'd show me something, then have me hop on the kit and duplicate it and give me feedback on where I needed to improve. Fundamental stuff like how I was holding the sticks and placing my foot on the kick pedal. I already know music theory fundamentals and played percussion before, so he didn't need to explain every type of note and how beats were formed. We also didn't get into standard notation and all that, but I already know that stuff anyway.

The little guy played himself right onto the floor, that's priceless.

Dallas craigslist is full of spam repeats though. This dude posts like 30 homemade liberal hippie douche flutes a week get a site or post a big ad, not 30.

Thanks. I know there is a lot of stuff on youtube and sites to join. Been watching how to hold the stick, work the hi hat and bass pedal, and beginning beats to work all limbs, and how to set up the set itself(still trying to rearrange my kit, as I think they just half-arsed it at Sam Ash to just test the pieces out that they were working). Yeah I know all the basic theory stuff on timing, would like to learn to read the drum sheet music though. I heard some guys say just buy some zeppelin tab and other drum tab and get working on that.

Yeah I wish I had Micah on film for sure, it was a classic. It was funny how little kids are, he loved hamming it up but after all the laughing and joking finally subsided, he said but Momma I did hurt my toe a little, to get his Momma cuddle oh my baby got hurt attention. I said you big fibber, he just gave me the sly yeah I know but I earned my cuddle lol.

Yea, I'm planning on padding everything up real sturdy (plushy) like. I always insure stuff for cost plus shipping, to cover any mishaps, and such. Funny enough, when I sold and shipped My SVT, I wrapped the whole thing in a layer of matress foam topper, plus bubble wrapped inside of a big double wall box, then packed the tubes in a box of their own individually wrapped each one in bubble wrap. The SVT arrived without a scratch, but the tubes got smashed to bits. I'd insured the tube set for $300, so when UPS finally got around to cutting the check (took'em two months), I actually made a bit of un-intentional profit, which I figure covered the PIA hassle factor of Me buying a new set of tubes for the guy, till UPS pay'd up.

I was surprised when my Traynor arrived in such a crappy packaging job all the tubes were fine, I left them in when I shipped also and they arrived perfect though I shipped way better than the way it arrived to me. But the tube in the blue tube preamp was smashed. I didn't care I have a few 12AX7s around the house, and I got the blue tube for cheap so it was a worth the minute it took to clean out the debris and swap the tube. Hard to believe they smashed the tubes when you packed them so well. Sometimes I think the drivers just fling the **** around. The prick that drops the stuff off at work dropped my guitar like a foot and handed me the name scanner, I wanted to slap it across his FN face.
