Wow Mr. B., this one looks brand new, what a beauty.
Thanks for sharing, i'll add it to my Sb-pic collection!![]()
Just thought you might like these pics, as you don't see them very often. This bass is a Steinberger XQ2TA, with a Transtrem, one of six (XQ2Ts) ever made:

An even bigger (highres) version of the last pic can be found Invalid Link Removed, as a new part of our Invalid Link Removed.
Enjoy

Now it's me needing measures:
I got me replacement claws and need the measure of the tiny Allen-screw holding the tuning knob on the threaded bar.
To his own shame the supplier* does not know the size nor furnish the key...
*will be named here when not soon getting their stuff together...
Wow! Thank you so much for this work! It'll be very helpful to everyone! Respect!I've tried to Invalid Link Removed in one place, and the resulting Invalid Link Removed can be downloaded from there. However, it's not complete, but I should be able to check this tonight. I think I've got all those imperial keys needed. It is possible (but definitely not sure) that the XL key sizes apply here, too.

So one vendor is an idiot and suddenly Americans don't understand what field service is all about?.....To his own shame the supplier* does not know the size nor furnish the key... i really like american understanding of field service!![]()

Consider it not the first time having troubles with U.S. providers. Unanswered mail and questions, stupid and incompetent explanation and other sort of impolite behavior, wrong, incomplete or non fitting parts (multiple choice allowed).
Guess there's other but hard to meet!![]()
I have a Steinberger XL2 made in 1991, when Gibson had the name. Since reading all the Steinberger posts lately on TB I am confused and interested-- cant confirm exactly what it is that I have. I know it is a Gibson made XL2 from '91, so is it made from the same materials as the NS XL2s? Body and necks? It has the V,V,T setup for electronics with a 9-volt battery. Please advise!
Thanks
Looking for a L2/XL2 if anyone is selling, preferrably with a DB bridge.
Thank you
