I recently put two HBCS pickups in my XL2. I was chasing the L2 sound. The new pickups do sound a lot better. It's subtle but it's there. Especially when I play with a softer touch. It's hard to describe. I hear more frequencies in the top and mid than before.

Well, I ended up buying the B2AV. Now I have to decide about selling the B2.
Have you had an opportunity to play and compare the Steinberger XL25W to the 5-string Status Graphite Streamline? If so, please share your insights.
A Steinberger XL25W (which is exceedingly rare) commands a price premium of about 400% over a Status Streamilne 5. Is the Steinberger worth $10,000?
Hello Steinilovers, two Steinberger XL-5W are currently being offered here, Steinberger - 和久屋<Wakuya>. The Price is huge.
With the HAZ Lab electronics, the price here is just under 20,000 $. The one with the normal electronics just under 18,000 $. Really Crazy ....

The western world pricing is a real steal then ... Japanese dealers are insane anyway, i wonder if they ever sell them way overpriced gear; even the NYC purple bench-cloth turns out modeste.
