Sterling by Music Man SUB Ray4 and Ray5

I found one of these at my local Guitar Center for $275 used, but it's in immaculate shape. I don't care if that's close to the original retail price, I love it. I like this thing just as much as I like my Fender Deluxe Jaguar. And the walnut color is just icing on the cake!
Yeah loving my Walnut Satin 4. You can get them new for around $240 with coupon codes when MF has sales. I paid $242 and was a great buy.
The 5er is only in black, the 4 has Walnut, Black and White. The SB4 is only in black. $254 today with $25 off coupon at MF (through 9/21).

That's not the information I was given directly from my SBMM rep. The 4 was in black and the 5er was in WS. Maybe you got yours from MF or GC as a special exclusive run. If you order one from a dealer, it's the other way around.
Just ordered a black with maple board Sub 5 from Musicians Friend. Got a pre holiday $45 discount,so total shipped was $254.00. The Sub V sells for $299 normally on MF. Merry early Christmas to me!
I know Pat from MM had indicated the finishes that you had said a while ago but every site I have seen them on has the same finishes as MF and GC.
I got it used at Guitar Center. It's a Walnut Stain 4-String. I'll post a picture when I can figure out how to get them from my phone to my Mac.
EDIT: I just found out that they actually make these new again. It was on the used wall, but I guess I got a new one. My apologies.
These are the exact specs been available in UK for a while - I can't see why it would be different in the US if they're making the basses in those colours.
However the SB4 appears to be new - never heard of it before.

The choices available to the EU market were different than the US for some reason. If you go on http://www.sterlingbymusicman.com, and click on the SUB series tab at the top of the page, you can select either USA or Intl basses to see the difference.

I always wanted a budget "Sterling" style bass to mess with.
I received my 7 lb 15 oz SBMM SUB SB4 today and I'm really impressed
I've had my SB4 a few days now and it's definitely the "bang for the buck" leader in my herd.
The stock strings seem to be "S.U.B. par" as the E-string had a unusual resonance. I swapped on my favorite set of Circle K Balanced 102s and now I like it even more
Can anyone with a Ray4 comment on the weight?

What does your S.U.B. Ray4 weigh?
Man, I wish I could tell you, but I don't have a scale. It's a bit heavier than the aforementioned Jaguar bass, but it's not unbearable. It balances nicely.
