Stingray w effects?

Hi all, looking at buying a Stingray HH or an Am Std. Jazz. I am leaning pretty close to the Stingray, however I have a small pedalboard, and it cost me a bit of money, and I don't want to let it go for the sake of buying a specific bass. The reason for my concern is that i've heard that active basses have trouble with effects, especially fuzzes. At the moment I have a Korg DT10 tuner, a Pickle Pie b, a Bass tube screamer, a bass Cry Baby, and a Micro Q Tron. Will the stingray have any problems with these pedals? Thanks,
Arthur.

I use a stingray with a crybaby and a pickle pie b! Part of why I decided on that pedal is because of how well it plays with active basses. They both work flawlessly with a 'ray, and you'll have no trouble.

The only fuzzes that are really awful with active basses are based on the Fuzz Face circuit, with the Wooly Mammoth being a notable example.

High outbput basses (which I wouldn't necessarily consider the Stingray to be) can also clip certain effects. Script circuit phasers (MXR Phase 90 and clones) can be made to clip and some overdrives get overly buzzy when slammed hard.

But I think you'll be fine with the Stingray and all the pedals you've listed. If I had any concern it would be for the Bass tube screamer but I wouldn't worry too much.

Hard to beat a Stingray HH for build quality/value and variety of tones. My 5 way switch usually has the outer coils selected and it sounds very similar to a J bass. Obviously the bridge alone gives you stingray tone. Playing all coils on delivers a fatter tone and can get close to a P sound if you also roll off the mids and highs a little.

I do sometimes wish the body were a bit smaller and lighter. A G&L M2000 with coils splits can accomplish the same thing with a slightly more aggressive tone than the Ray (but outer coils will give you J-like tone).

I love Fenders too, but folks seem to think the build quality per dollar is better on the other Leo brands - MM and GL.

As for pedals - my MM has lower output than my passive Fenders when the EQ is flat, so no issue whatsoever.
