Stoner / Doom Bassist Thread - Part 18

Its not so much the fact that my mom's washing my laundry, its that I despise doing my laundry SO much, I'll let it stack up for months before I drive it back home (1.5 hrs away) for her to do it... then have to explain why 3 lighters, a Jager bottle cap, and a soggy pack of rolling papers were in my pockets.

The kind of people who do their own laundry are the same types who listen to jazz and lurk around the Band Management forums p*ssing on everyone else's parade. Real men make other people do it.

Nothing more 'DOOM' than a dedicated, hardcore batchelor :p

fixed it for ya.

Haha my mom insists on doing it, because it means I'm coming home for the weekend to visit. Win-Win! I'm the first born in my fam, so not used to being spoiled or asking them for things.... I did all my own through college, which is how I know how much I despise the process. So now, I get my laundry cleaned, my dear loving Mother gets to see her son, all is well with the world.

I did the laundromat thing for awhile. Lets just say, our laundromat is not the place to meet any quality female company.

I guess I can understand this. I'm 32 and my mom still asks if I need a haircut every time I visit. I usually just buzz it myself, but if I need a trim I'll say yes and it makes her happy.

It's not much of a story. When I was 19 in college my dad called me on a Sunday morning at like 7 am yelling at me about how he couldn't figure out the password to the wireless router at the house. That turned into him being angry and not talking to me, which went on for years. Throw in the fact that he's a right wing fundie and that he gave me ultimatums like cut your hair or we're not paying your tuition and I found my own way in the world very quickly.
