i thought the supercollider was pretty OK, but not up to the hype. It had some good sounds, but nothing special when put up against some other fuzzes...I totally agree with you on the Bluebeard and the Musket (although for my purposes the Musket got a little wily in the mix)... My other recommendations would be the Fender Sublime.. believe it or not, the OxFuzz, and the W+C Tall Font Russian. All three have killer tone and keep the low end very nicely!

The Supercollider absolutely kills for guitar. It's what my guitarist uses & I practiced with it a couple times. It was alright, but I agree... Not the best, ever for bass. I'm more a fan of distortion than fuzz, in general, and am super happy w/ my Mole + modded Vox V8-30 combo.

Traynor Monoblock, solid amp and very good tone, "built like a tank" gets thrown around a lot but in this case it's true. Basically a giant heatsink with a volume knob. I have run it with everything dimed for extended periods at 2 ohms, doesn't even get warm.

So far, I have all the HoF albums, Torche, Bison BC Dark Ages and Zoroaster Matador. I am thinking of going relapse crazy. Indian, 16, Baroness, Black Tusk, etc.

Going to see Saviours tomorrow with a couple of awesome local bands. Saviours better bring their A game :)
Really diggin my Rat clone right now. Can't wait to throw a bass eq with it and bring some of those lows back.
I miss my Green Muff. I think I'm gonna start looking for an alternative. My Polemaster brings the gnarly. But I need to be able to bring some smooth thickness again.
I'm still kicking around Musket or W&C Pickle Pie.

An EQ pedal isn't going to bring frequencies back that the Rat pedal removes, unfortunately. You can put the EQ first and trim some highs and that will help a little, but really the only way I've found to use a pure fuzz pedal like that without losing all your lows is to split the signal before the fuzz pedal, then recombine after (or use two amps).

An eq will not bring back frequencies in the same way they were removed but if you boost low end on the eq pedal then the post eq signal will have more bass content.

This is the plan. I don't need much. I still cut decent. I wish I was able to keep my Rattail...
Speaking of the Mole, I did have a Knockout that worked decent.
I'm thinking about getting one again, for guitar purposes as well.
