stoner/doom bassist thread part 2: suspicious smoke

Weird. People in Ottawa felt it. People in New Brunswick felt. Here in Nova Scotia I didn't feel a damn thing. I missed out on the doom. I've never felt an earthquake before.

Nova Scotia needs some doom/stoner bands. I've tried to start one up a few times, but it never gets passed the e-mail stage.

I guess it's about time I spammed this thread.
My band is called White Wolves, our ep is available for free download here: White Wolves

We have a couple Columbus shows coming up in September:
Sept 15th @ Ravari Room w/ Black Antler, Purse Snatcher, and Mockingbird
&
Sept 27th @ Kobo w/ The Atlas Moth, Ken Mode, & Bringers of Disease

Cool stuff man!

Nice, I like it.

We just played a show with Ken Mode earlier this month, interesting band.

Local favorite of mine! One of the heaviest (and loudest) bands to ever come out of Winnipeg, IMO. I know Jesse a little, my old band used to play the occasional show with them way back in the day. they have always had the most killer bass tone, despite being a bit of a revolving door for bassists.

Their newest CD is pretty great. Makes me think of a really pissed off Young Widows.

When I was running a rack rig I had a compressor that I used to gate the feedback from my cranked fuzz when I muted the strings. Didn't like what it did to my sound and never got comfortable using it, but I'm also an effects minimalist and now that I run an SVT I don't think I'd ever need a compressor.
