**** that noise man! Play what you like and who cares what any one else thinks. I love using unpopular or unknown gear. I've had several occasions where I've been carrying my BassBombs into a show and someone is like "Is that an extra PA or something?" and then I decimate their brains.

As a meticulous setup freak, I must commend you on your string wraps! :D
:D I like many wraps. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like I get a little bit more of the bass's natural tone if the strings are gripping the tuning pegs more.

Or I'm nuts. Which is at least as likely.

I guess I was just curious on the "coolness" factor of them cause of my old NJ Warlock 4 string that I bought in the late 80's-early 90's. I think it's pretty doomy, but not too "edgey" looking(like most Rich's). Plus, the headstock is more like a LP 2+2, than their more recent pointy ones. I put some really nice Schaller tuning machines when I bought it. I thought it might be cool to fix it up with some nice electronics, and nicer hardware for myself, but didn't know if it would be like bringing "the Mothman to a church function" -type look in this scene.
Nuts to that. I absolutely love the look of the classic BC Rich headstock. If you like it, rock it!

so Ive never done a "New Bass Day" posting cos, well.. i dunno. But strangely Im actually REALLY excited about getting this one. Which is also probably the CHEAPEST bass Ive owned in 10 years or more. BUT it is soooo what Ive been looking for. Im a Stingray fan. Ive got a SLO and a mid 90's mute bridge Stingray. Ive always wanted a passive Ray but didnt wanna lay down the 2K for a Pre-EB model cos its kinda against my wallet morals. So I FINALLY found a good condition PASSIVE SUB!!! I put a new pickguard and strings on it, gave it a good set up and DAYUM-SON!!!! This will probably be my new go-to bass!

I've got the exact same rig(minus the 610)! I love it. Do you use the 610 & 215 at the same time?

Yes, very happy I realized it existed and even happier I found one in good condition at a good price and a TB'er who would sell me it before he even listed it in the classifieds! :bassist:

The cherry burst RB924 is sexy looking but I'm not a huge fan of P or P/Js. Love the meat from humbuckers and triple coils.

thought you dudes may appreciate this. i ran our MAGMA preamp through and original ACC 301 and our 415-RFL. split the signal coming from the outputs of the MAGMA effect! near tore down our shop even at low volumes! epic! :bassist::bassist::bassist:

Haha. Nice! Quiet night at home for me, as I prepare for the hurricane. Hoping my gear in the storage unit doesn't take water damage from any flooding in Rockville... guitarist is driving out there tomorrow morning to get our pedal boards off the floor.

Possibly Tuesday I'm going to show up at practice early with my Mbox and noodle with my rig for a bit while recording. Going to bring the new bass. I hope it will do a good job of capturing how incredible my cabs sound so you guys can get a feel for them. Tim at EarCandy was excellent to work with, and put my band's music up on his website. Anyone want to hear anything in particular? I'll probably just capture some clean signal, some bluebeard and then how my rig sounds with the fuzz/octave/chorus combo.
