While those candles are awesome, they provide almost zero light (they're designed to burn low for a very long time).

Other than some high winds and lots of rain, no real issues here. Don't think any trees even fell over. It was slightly worse for my friends east across the bay but they all seem fine as well.
At some point I think we had 60+ mph winds but I'm thankful we didn't get hit nearly as hard as some of the other areas.

Mass seems to be ok. Lots of downed trees and power outages, but I still have it (and we lose it randomly all the time). Since most of us slept through the worst of it, many seem to think it was no big deal at all.

At the risk of adding politics... he's become such an insane caricature of himself. About 10-12 years ago I'd listen to his radio show and he was... completely different, to put it lightly. He was more of a "common sense" guy. Conservative to be sure, but always tried to argue from a "let's think this through" perspective. Due to work schedule I stopped listening, then caught him on Fox News when he got there several year later. I was aghast. What the hell happened? Where did that rational, thinking man's conservative go? Who was this bloviating, bombastic, loudmouth shrieker? He's obviously made more money with this idea, which leads to...
I don't think he is at all. Sure, what he says is often idiotic to most of us, but considering what he was and what he is, I think he's a marketing genius. He found himself a niche and has made millions off it. That's not idiocy.

Yeah, not a literal idiot. He knows how to spin it with the best of them. What I should have said was what a moronic statement. What if there had been mass fatalities? Still a blessing from your god, Mr. Beck?

I don't know if I mentioned it here, but I'm on the Bluebeard waiting list. Can't wait to try it out with my pedals, then with the Phat Phuk B (if I get it for my birthday).
i want to give the Phat Phuk another try. i did not realize it had an internal trim to adjust the amount of dirt and it was jus too clean for my tastes and just added clean volume, i did not hear any magic.
