Well it seemed like an infinity trim at first but their is an end per say. So i maxed it out to the right and the ped did grit up. Before i put it against my other boosts and found it was the worst but after a new pepsi challenge I like the ppb

what other boosts have you compared it to? can you record samples with the various trim settings by any chance?

Hell yeah. I'm going to have fun with the Phat Phuk B with the Bluebeard, as well as my other fuzzes.
The only downside is if I like the Bluebeard as much as everyone else, one (or two) of my fuzzes might get sold.

As far as Beck is concerned, yes he is a very brilliant man. It is too bad he uses that brilliance to spread fear among Americans and brain control the ignorant masses. Haha anyways...
Two things I will never, ever get rid of are my BassBombs and my Bluebeard. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but man is it gnarly. It makes everything sound like bluebeard but that's usually a good thing. For me it is an always on pedal. I put mine around 40% volume (anything higher with my active ATK results in some very sensitive feedback) and the fuzz and tone pedals dialed all the way back. Just engaging the circuitry gives me a killer grit sound. You can dial up those knobs to get a nice high gain chainsaw fuzz tone as well but as I said I use it as an always on pedal to get a killer grit tone. It meshes great with my SVT and I run my OC-3 in front of it for a great combo.

I took an RC Booster clone in a Boss housing made by Screaming Lucy in a trade but in my pedal chain I didn't hear it make any difference. Maybe I should try again =P

Mmm... I'll be running mine with an SVT, and mainly a T-40 or a P-bass. I'm scared I might have to get rid of my Pickle Pie B for this. I can't wait to get my mitts on it.

So I'm curious, and also looking for advice, how much theory knowledge do you guys have in terms of playing bass?
When I was a kid I took 6 or 7 years of piano and was quite good. When I picked up bass... 5 years ago I "taught" myself by learning how to play songs with tabs on Guitar Pro. Since then I took maybe 3 lessons from 2 people that I wasn't able to keep up. The only scale I know is C major and I can only play it on the first 5 frets of the neck. It is rather embarrassing when I play with someone for the first time and I tell them that they need to show me what frets they are playing as I have no idea how to follow along. Eventually I win them over with my chops and groove but it hinders my ability to contribute to the writing process.
I'm trying to change that now. I've been going through Hal Leonard's Bass Method 1. Let me tell you how hilarious it is that someone who has the chops to play just about any death metal song is working on this book but it will definitely address my weak spots as a bassist. I plan on practicing this until I'm comfortable with playing from sheet music then doing book 2 and then focusing on scales with Amazon.com: Bass Guitar: Total Scales Techniques And Applications (Book & CD) (9780976291756): Mark John Sternal: Books
Beebassdude gave me some books as well, and I know about Online Bass Lessons at StudyBass.com and when I have time eventually plan on taking lessons. Any other suggestions from you more skilled bassists?
