I need some suggestions. What would you guys do for a bass from this list

I was considering the olp mm 5 stringer or the Ibanez blazer p copy. Then, there is always getting a P bass or a t40 or ahhh! There is a lot of choices... Looking for basses you may have experience with for this genre. My Wick isn't working out and it may be sold be tomorrow afternoon. There was also a guy selling an Epi thunderbird pro for 250 the other day. Please chime in.

Most of those basses bore me to tears. I can't play a fender style body anymore as it's just not my thing. I would push you to get the OLP as I love triple coils. I'm also a big fan of anything that's old Ibanez. The T-40 would be awesome too if you can handle all those knobs. The guy from Black Tusk rocked T-40s for awhile until he had his custom bass made

That is a mean machine

as far as effects go i dont have a ton of them although my board looks big lol. bluebeard fuzz and a blender so i keep some of the clean low end, and i had a morley PWF that im replacing with a wilson freaker (which should be here next week).

i wish i had more effects i just dont have any use for them. i think im adding a musket fuzz at some point to my 2nd rig so i run two fuzzes into two different amps, should sound pretty sweet.

im getting an acoustic 370 tomorrow to pair with a peavey 3620. im hoping it brings the dooooo)))))m.

I'm in the same boat. I can't stand the feel of Fender basses, though I've warmed up a little to the j-basses.

The Ibanez 505 is a decent low-mid level 5 string. Plays decent and sounds ok.

As much as my guitarist hates it I love Ibanez. When I bought my SR700 I transitioned from a terrible player to a not so terrible player. Sad I ever sold it. If I had kept all the Ibanezes I've ever owned I'd have a pretty kickass collection of cheap, ass kicking basses. My ATK700 is still my main player and probably will be unless I buy a USA or prestige one.

There was a 4 and 5 string OLP, the Ibanez Blazer (p copy), T40, Thunderbird Pro or now Fender put out this

I like both of these. Stupid decisions.

However, I might be able to afford the blazer and the 4 string OLP or the T40 and the 4 string OLP or both the 4 and 5 string OLPs. If I can get it, should I go for 2 basses?

My progression has been from '78/'79 Yamaha BB to '79 T-40 to G&L Tributes. I bought an RD Artist a few weeks ago thinking it would rule the school & to be honest... I like the G&Ls more. They sound bigger, are more defined, and cut through better. Plus they don't weight 15lbs. The T-40s get a bad rap. They're only kinda heavy. Mine's around 12lbs & I have no problem wearing it for a couple hours at a time.
