Funny enough the Ox Fuzz was one of the few pedals that worked well with flats, the Rat Tail on the other hand did not, it sounded terrible with flats in my opinion and I sold it after one practice.
Passive + MMHB = Balls
Moreso than my P bass had (though P basses will always have a special place, especially with a Jazz neck).
One of our guitarist's amps is on the fritz so probably no practice until next Tuesday. I'm reeallllyyy curious to hear how my passive quadcoils are going to sound through my rig. I'm anticipating the sound killing birds in mid-flight and falling from the sky.

I still want couple more basses to round out my arsenal. I want a hollow body like a EA-260 and a unknown bass to tune to BEAD. I tried with one of the basses I built but it doesn't suit it or like being lower then drop C. It also sounds too modern with the pj nordys I put in it.
AW, C'MON! You're killing me, Smalls! I can afford it, but I've got money tied up with a custom, pedals, movies, etc. If I was living on my own, this would be sold right now.
Since I still live with the folks (awwww yeah), they would beat my ass.
Christ I wish I still lived with my parents. Fiance and I are paying over $1600/mo for an 1100 sq ft apartment in the DC area and it's not even that nice haha.
As to the effects usage...
I use a lot of them in BHD, but the music warrants it I think. I've played in other bands where I wouldn't go near an effect pedal. Last year I played in a death metal band and was clean all the time.

Counting the days until I get my bonus check in November. I think I plan on buying a Traynor YBA300. I don't suppose anyone here has played one yet?
Why does every one these days have to mess up music with those horrible screams and that fake ass devil voice?

I'm confused. I wouldn't call it screaming. I think of it as yelling. Plus I love his Danzig impersonation.
Speaking of, I've found two reviews of our EP that say Richie is a poor Danzig impersonation. I take that was a compliment hahaha.
only the YBA-200, and it was OK but it was lacking a little oomph. I thought it was great until I tried a Fender 300 PRO, that made the Traynor seem like a toy. even at the same volume level the 300 PRO always sounded like their was weight behind each note, the YBA-200 not so much. I am not convinced the YBA-300 is much better. seems too complicated, and I am not a fan of EL34's for bass. having said that I have not tried the YBA-300 yet and it could be a completely different animal.
yeah the "singing" is ok i dont mind it at all and wouldn't not buy it because of the vocals, the music is fantastic though.

also, basically my friend bought me a used bass big muff for helping him fix his car. He gave me money that I didn't have and I found one for $55 used. No sense saving it towards something else because I won't get anymore money til X-mas. Then, It's Lodestone time.

I owned a YBA200 for awhile. Awesome amp but broke up too easily before I reached the volumes I wanted. I've been following the YBA300 thread and it seems like a different beast than the YBA200. People are raving about it. Supposed to be on par with an SVT with that kick you in the balls ability. What about it do you think is complicated? It looks to be the easiest to use by the end user tube amp I've ever seen. It will also work with 6L6s isntead of the EL34s.
