You have to make a certain amount of money to even be held liable for sales tax. I think it's like $10,000 or something a year.

Thanks. I assumed this was the case. Plus this is for actual physical goods, not even digital downloads. If my band becomes popular enough that someone outside of the city wants to buy physical merch, I'll worry about it then :P

So I break strings a lot it seems, everyone I talk to says that they have only ever broken 1 or 2 string before in the entire time laying bass...have you guys every broke a string?

It's like clock work, every month or 2 one will snap, it's always the E or A string when in standard tuning, and they always break right by the bridge. I play with my finger mostly and a pick sometimes. Could it be bad setup? Or am I just Thor and hammer too hard?

You might have burrs on your string saddles. I had an old POS 5-string with that problem. Filed it down and stopped popping strings.

Check the saddles for sharp points or burrs. Take some sandpaper and wrap it around an old string and just run it through the slot a couple times. Put some chap-stik or pencil lead in there after.

^ nice, Josh!

Someone tell me why the Beatles should be considered as pop and not rock and roll, please. Not trying to get anyone butt hurt, but IMO, it isn't rock music if the girls can scream over the amps.

I've gotten into more than one drunken argument about this. Anyone who says they aren't a rock band is not familiar with anything they did after 1964

Anyone know much about Invalid Link Removed?

They're priced pretty damn good, and the reviews I've read on them seem decent.

I asked about these here before and didn't get much response. I was pretty dedicated to buying one. I Went to best buy, and they said they no longer carried them, All I could find is online orders and they used to be $250-$299. Now All I could fine a month or so ago was $389+, I tried to special order with MF and GC and they charged that as well.

It's supposed to be great, but I think I'd just get a Carvin BX500 if I had to spend $399.

Also are new speakers supposed to fart a lot?? I was trying my new stack and they seem kind of farty, there's a thunderstorm over head so I can't play for the moment...

They're on Best Buy online for something like $242 right now.

Just to see my new setup
