I am using Drop C and as you know i'm using Circle K, but I think dunlop sells a light gage 5 set you could buy cheaper and toss the E string and be real close to the set I use. Its a little slinky but but it feels nice. And dunlops are my new secong string of choice for rounds if its not the special order Circle K. GHS has a set close too, but i do not like those strings at all.

You could try that set and leave the G string off. Then if it's too tight dump the E string move the A&D up and string the G. Did ya get that

I`m not sure. Kinda drunk at the moment. Had a long day of birthday parties,eating and drinking during a hockey game and meeting up with old friends. I think they might be steel but don`t quote me on that.

They do feel good though. They`re thicker and have more tension/feel tighter than regular strings do after down tuning that much. When I first tuned to drop C I hated it,my strings felt like beat rubber bands.

How would you describe the tone of the Circle Ks? Can you compare them to Nickel Lo-Riders, if you have ever used those?

I used the low riders once, many moons ago. Don't recall their tone, sorry. I was in the search for the perfect string for my black P/J and still haven't found it.

That will be a killer rig. I used to own a 300 pro a few years ago, it's a pretty cool amp.

I support the use of that amp. I love mine(sunn 300t). It has been my favorite amp that I've ever owned or played through.

Man, I can not get Goatsnake out of my head. For those keeping track, the last company I had an inquiry for a custom 1-15, responded. Guess they never got my first email. I'll be sure to chime in once I finalize everything but at this point, looks like Atlas is the winner. Just waiting on final price as budget is a concern. Then I can get on to more important things like a Lodestone.

300 PRO is still in production though, yous should be able to get through any major retailer.

Sam Ash, ZZSounds and AMS carry the 300 Pro online. I never see it in any store fronts though.

Oh ok. I was only asking cause of the previous reason, but Fender still advertises it (unfortunately, they don't show the Pro215 anymore). Anyone get into Iron Man (the band)???
