so i need a bit of input fellas... (not to derail anything)...
so as alot of you know Ive been a big proponent of the Fender Sublime, always recommending it and doing videos and stuff... well, mine recently DIED... well, didnt die, but became unreliable where it cuts out and sputters to the point I cant depend on it live anymore..so, not dead, but might as well be.
anyway, I contacted fender about it. I couldnt find the reciept, and basically they told me sorry, no help... and that if I had the reciept it is covered for only a year. Well, I cant find the receipt, but I did find earlier today when I bought it, and that was about a year and a half ago. So yeah, Im outside the warranty, but Im feeling pretty miffed. I know Im feelin a little entitled cos when ya google "fender sublime" my videos are the 2nd and 3rd listings for it, and if ya do an image search ya get a top row of stock pics with a pic of my pedalboard in the middle cos its gotten seen so much..... Considering that I kinda feel like I helped hype em I feel pretty bugged that a year and a half in Im out a pedal and tough ****.... but even if that wasnt the case, and i was just 'joe anyone' I feel crappy that a pedal is not backed up at all after a year. Even with my using it as a go-to it still probably has less than 25 hours on it of use... geez...
so my question... what would you do? I kinda feel like writing back to the fender rep and explaining this AND explaining that Im gonna change the write up on my top tier videos to explain the REALLY SHORT lifespan of this pedal.... am I being a jerk? I admit its kinda jerky, but it feels pretty justified. whaddya think?
