Stoner/Doom Bassist Thread Part 6

If the gear works and does what is needed who cares the name. I strove to find the cheaper alternative till I had the right situation to be a "fat cat". You just have to hunt for deals. Heck I am playing the cheap parts p I have more then my '74 p right now. If it wasn't for a accident some time ago,a series of events (someone blowing my amp up, not me) and talk bass I would probably still have my carvin cabs and my GK 800rb and big muff and be happy.

so i need a bit of input fellas... (not to derail anything)...
so as alot of you know Ive been a big proponent of the Fender Sublime, always recommending it and doing videos and stuff... well, mine recently DIED... well, didnt die, but became unreliable where it cuts out and sputters to the point I cant depend on it live anymore..so, not dead, but might as well be.
anyway, I contacted fender about it. I couldnt find the reciept, and basically they told me sorry, no help... and that if I had the reciept it is covered for only a year. Well, I cant find the receipt, but I did find earlier today when I bought it, and that was about a year and a half ago. So yeah, Im outside the warranty, but Im feeling pretty miffed. I know Im feelin a little entitled cos when ya google "fender sublime" my videos are the 2nd and 3rd listings for it, and if ya do an image search ya get a top row of stock pics with a pic of my pedalboard in the middle cos its gotten seen so much..... Considering that I kinda feel like I helped hype em I feel pretty bugged that a year and a half in Im out a pedal and tough ****.... but even if that wasnt the case, and i was just 'joe anyone' I feel crappy that a pedal is not backed up at all after a year. Even with my using it as a go-to it still probably has less than 25 hours on it of use... geez...

so my question... what would you do? I kinda feel like writing back to the fender rep and explaining this AND explaining that Im gonna change the write up on my top tier videos to explain the REALLY SHORT lifespan of this pedal.... am I being a jerk? I admit its kinda jerky, but it feels pretty justified. whaddya think?

true... I just dont wanna be the "let me talk to the manager" douche, or the "Ive brought you alot of business" douche unless its really justified.

laz.. that what I said, but the say that its falls under "accessories" so its a year! A guitar strap is an accessory, not a pedal, thats electronics.

My argument was one would assume that a pedal falls under electronics. It doesn't directly say 1 year warranty on their product page and it doesn't say it on GC of MF's pages either. I would raise hell just to see what happens. I got refunded $50 from the guitar store on ebay I won the Artist from since the bridge was busted. I just annoyed the **** out of them and won in the end haha.

Tell her their is a guy in in this little town called davenport who has as much gear as the whole band and he is only one man. My buddy Wurm had tons of stuff it's ridiculous, guitar and bass. He's my fall guy, lmfao
