Hey has anyone tuned their Ric down to C#? I was thinking of tuning mine down and heard they don't sound good when you get lower than like a half step.

My 78 is in Drop C

With the right strings you should not have any problems tuning to C. A nice heavy gauge and roll back the neck pup volume a bit and it will sound great.

thanks for these, the first two setting on the SFT are pretty close to what I'm looking for. were you running it at 9 or 18 volts? I guess I'll have to add it to the list of stuff to try. Just missed one in the classifieds.

Nice, clips. SFT doesnt sound farty like in a lot of the other clips I've heard. Proabably cause bass players think the bass knobs gotta be dimed.. always.

how does the SFT sound when you use it for your main tone and throw a fuzz after it for heavy stuff?

Great by itself, and its has no fuzzes after it on my board...its got a good moany throb that sounds like 70s grease by itself. When I have used a fuzz it thickened it up some with still some definition..but alot of fuzzes seem to make everything before them sound like just the fuzz pedal to me.
