Stoner/Doom Bassist Thread Part 8 - Insert witty title...

welcome to the club.

The first rule of point club is that you do not discuss point club.

I think many of us have a few points on our license so to speak, just enough to reinforce the rules that keep this from being ultimateguitar.com/forums.

Oh, and this is my NEW sig, to replace the OLD sig about TB being the cheatcode for all things bass:

It's not about what the band needs its about punishing your audience for not being worthy.

Fires, you were truly on fire in that thread you linked to...

Father of Fires retort:
Asking us how we are supposed to hear our monitors is like asking us why we complain about doing our laundry when we could simply have our butler do it for us.

Different worlds man. Different worlds.

Just got a foot switch in the mail for my Fender 300! Now I can switch channels a bit easier.
What do you guys think of Old Man Gloom and Doom Riders?
I`ve been pondering picking up a LP or 2.

i honestly almost posted a Doomriders clip earlier, but then i found the pelican ep (i shouled have went w/Doomriders). and Zorzobra was todays workout jam (Old Man Gloom w/out Nate Newton).

Re stage volume- i know i made the argument last thread that if there is a good sound person, we should let them do his/her job. While i do agree, my stance has changed a bit...

for the first few shows of this year, i was running my amp at half power so that i wasn't overpowering the sound system (120 tube watts)... the problem was that my bandmates said they had trouble hearing cues from me. So, for the past two shows, i ran at full power... gooey, tubey epicness (yes, i made up two words)! both the audience and the sound people complimented me on my tone, and my band mates are able to hear me on stage. i'm the last person to start a fight w/ a sound guy, but i am starting with the sound that i prefer now.
