Lol, well slight good news that may lend to that. My friend (who is mostly a guitar player) got the vacant drummer slot in the cover band. He has played drums before but not too much in bands since we were teens and never with me. He was good enough to get the spot in the cover band in a audition last night so if he really does well at gigs ill see if he wants to jam in machete.

Always loved Stoned on Schwag Ampeg, you guys need some better recordings for sure.

My guitarist did some more mixing and we listened to it yesterday, 100x better than what i posted before. Youll have to wait for the whole demo for this one, but it was so surreal to listen to us with a good recording, like how we will sound on an album as opposed to live. Like things are all finally coming together, each piece of the puzzle is being placed right were it should be.

Got one of those rare deals. I paid $200. Came with the OHSC. The story was the bass was being sold by the former owner's son. His father had been deceased for several years. Guess he bought the bass brand new back in '75, used it until around '78, then it went into the closet for 34 years until he listed it on CL. Still had the late 70s Fender black Jazz tapewound strings on it, as well as a unopened pack in the case!

Granted, market value for this thing if I sold it now wouldn't be much over $500 - $600 I think.

Just saw In Return by Torche is being repressed. I own one of the original pressings. Pretty cool vinyl package. Love these new colors.

Holy crap, that IS a rare deal. The last one I saw that was pretty much exactly the same bass, but a 77, was $699 shipped.

just catching up, this thing sounds really cool. I just can't seem to get my Disaster Jr. delay to cut through the mix. Don't know if it is the pedal or maybe the cab but basically the repeats are inaudible when the guitar and/or drums are going. No bass solos so that doesn't leave much use for it right now.

I'd love to hear how you guys use delays on bass in a band mix.

Thanks for this. I LOVE Sigur Ros and am fortunate enough to have caught them live. I appreciate your Link too. When I get home I'm gonna have to check that out as well as the pitchfork stream of the Conan song.
