Stoner/Doom Bassists 51: Back To The Future

One of the most underrated is the Voodoo Labs Saprkle Drive. It was one of the best I have ever used and I am always thinking of grabbing another, it would be my 4th. Sunn/Fender 300T/300PRO + Sparkle Drive was one of the best mild OD sounds I ever got.
Those are also excellent choices. I was simply using the Joyo as an example of a less distorted pedal that can go before a fuzz. I use the Joyo mainly as a boost which adds a bit of upper mid and high content before hitting the BBM. There are any number of pedals that can do a similar thing, but per the original problem I am not sure what is to be achieved by using 2 fuzzes. I am sure some guys do that but it seems like unless you do a lot of experimentation with a bunch of different fuzzes then it will be a big mess (I consider the Blowtorch a fuzz as it is fairly extreme).

I run an '82 yellow DOD 250 as an overdrive/boost into the Blowtorch, setup for a blended midrange focused mid gain fuzz, then into a NYC Big Muff with tone stack bypass for mid gain fuzz meant to really fuzz the sh-t out of things like a more heavy switch. I have all the pedals set so they sound good and distorted by themselves but not too heavy so that stacked with the others it doesn't get too crazy - aside from the current Big Muff farting issue...

I thought maybe you might be pushing the blowtorch too hard with the muff. But looks like it is the other way around in your chain. Thought maybe the muff may be driving the BT to hard the muffs usually have a lot of headroom on tap. Time to start swapping around I guess.

Ok, So are the stoner guys from the parking lot satan.. Perhaps trapped on earth which is why they need the book? They do shape shift into that chick to coerce Jimmy, then Todd. Right?
Do you think the whole thing could start again? New Hannah, new book? Wouldn't the book likely come to Curtis due to his loss / disdain for Todd?
What else is in that dungeon/ lab below the retirement home beside more Hannah?

Sorry dude, that is his main amp. That one is going to the grave with him haha. He's actually looking for another amp to compliment the SC, he picked up a BLACK 120 a few months ago, and while it sounds amazing its just doesn't mesh with Bongripper's sound/tuning. We all loved the JCM800's they played through at roadburn, so he's looking into one of those to replace the black.

I had a chance to grab one of those a few years ago. I should have, but I didn't. Oh well.
There's a local dude with a JCM800 who wants to work out a trade for the black, hopefully that'll work out. So we'll see.
Not sure if theyre satan, but the fact that they had those pictures from the Old West and the whole thing with young Jimmy makes me think that its an entire cycle that has happened many times over. Todd is just the current incarnation. I think they need the Pure evil one to control the book, to let them go wild, but the Pure evil one has the choice to do what they want, IE: what Todd does with the book, and what Jimmy does.
I have no clue how Hannah could be tied in with the book, maybe her parents couldnt conceive and used to book to science up a kid, which would explain why there are more hannahs. That or I thought at one time she would be the Pure Good one.
But I really think the Pure Evil one is actually, just the "one" who can do Evil or Good.

Oh I know, it's one of the JCM800 Lead series with the switchable gain channel, which is less desirable in our circumstance, but if it sounds good, it is good. He's gonna test it out before any deal is struck up. Works out nicely too since the dude is at the same practice space building so he can test it out with his normal gear.
