+1 would love to see them live. On my drive in to work was listening the NPR news and they had Tortoise playing int he background, thought that was kind of cool, would love to see Tortoise live again.

+1 would love to see them live. On my drive in to work was listening the NPR news and they had Tortoise playing int he background, thought that was kind of cool, would love to see Tortoise live again.
I found that the Alphabass EQ kinda sucks.
In order to get a bass tone, you have to bypass the graphic, run treble at 0 and bass at 10. Anything less and it's just too much treble, for me atleast.
YMMV.
I dont think it will be a heritage. They anounced they are releasing a B15 too, but this one isnt supposed to be $5k like the last one.
So here is some cool news. We got contacted by some video game developers who want to use our music for their game.
Heard tell that ampeg is re-issuing a 100 watt tube amp. Have to let a few get out into the field before anyone knows if they suck or rule.

I know a few people that would love your band. I have told these people and they are just too lazy to go check out your music. They are totally missing out.
Just a quick response/question: in the VERY limited time I futzed with it, it didn't SEEM too trebl-y. I had the EQ flat, graphic bypassed, and going into a Peavey 2x15.
Might your experience have been due to cab choice?
Seems like you'd still be able to use a different preamp into the power section for the tube ooze.
I saw a really cool special about Sigur Ros on the way to Iceland a few years ago. I was very impressed with their attitude and musical approach.

What GK head do you use? Why do you like it?
It very well could have. I found this as soon as I got it. The graphic was totally unusable with my setup and the only way the parametric works is if treble is 0 and bass is 10.
I don't know why mine feels so bright. Maybe I need to futz around with some different pre tubes.
