There's no price on it. It belongs to the guy who owns the shop and he's looked out for us in the past so $450 sounds pretty fair. He sold an Eminar head with two cabs like mine for $700 to someone else when he was asking $500 from us but then lost my job and no money, yay! Hahaha

I'll get my mate to come in with me and see what the go is, might be able to layby once I get working again.

I have a bass with those pickups, great pups. After the 8 muff shootout i just did you cant got wrong with a Fuzzrocious Grey Stache. It is one of the best muffs out there IMO. If you need more cut from it tweeking in LED mode helps. If you want to bring walls down, No diodes mode. :D

for low wattage tube heads,I reckon guitar heads are the way to go.You'll get tech heads telling you the power transformers can't handle the lows,but that's never been an issue for me.I would recommend 100 watts,because you do need some head room to create low end.

It really depends on the sound you want to get. The transformers will effect the lows, but if someone isnt after huge lows that should be ok. There are also tube amps that put out full rated power at 40hz, but they have huge transformers, and not everyone wants to deal with that.

Fuzzbasian, you need to look at the EBS Classic 90. Gooey tube goodness, at only $2500!

More on the serious side, someone on TB has a Pignose 100 watt tube amp, and raves about it.

edit: this should be aimed at Father of Fires. Reduce price to $1200-ish.

+1 I want to learn how to add a tone bypass switch and the clean blend to some pedal kits. I wish the Wampler book ws still in print, trying to find a good book to learn how to read schematics and slap them on veroboards too.

My Way Huge Pork Loin is similar, light to medium overdrive with a clean blend. If it is Fuzz, The Wren and Cuff Pickle Pie has a clean blend on it. I actually want to tinker some, so the pedal kits look like a fun little hobby to mess with. I can slap a kit together, but I really need to learn schematic reading, so I can tweak them some.

Man the guy who bought the TC Nova Repeater Delay off me in the classifieds wrote me this morning that it worked perfect at his band practice. For some reason he had toruble with it at his home setup. Made my day that he got it straight, it worked perfectly, so I figured it was his power unit or something.

Man I could never find the name of a movie I saw as a kid about a gang of living dead motorcyclists. Well looking through Netflix I found it, and it came in the mail yesterday so watched it last night, fun flick to watch, of course cheesy acting, but still a fun watch. The soundtrack was awesome, fuzz and wah wah with gloomy sounds too.

Hey man, that's pretty awesome that we're one of your influences.

I had one of those zoom B3's for a while and was pretty shocked at how good a lot of the effects sounded. A muff has always been one of my favorite pedals. When I'm using one I generally run the gain/sustain all the way up, and the tone around 11:00, then volume to taste. However, I've found a nice heavy overdrive works best for me and keeping things heavy and big without getting muddy. A Fuzzrocious OSD (or Demon King, same circuit with mods for extra sounds) is my favorite gain pedal I've come across, followed up by a Rat that is modded for bass use (but the OSD sounds just great stock).

I love 10's for bass, I currently use a 6x10 and 2x15 but if there was a situation where I couldn't use both (which is never) I would pick the 610 for my solo cab.

I have to say it but more speakers never can hurt. I would go for another 4x10 or a 2x15 to match up with your current setup, get the most out of everything.

As far as EQ'ing goes I personally like to bump up the lows, and low-mids, while cutting the high-mids back, and keeping just enough treble to add some clarity and bite. Also I never play clean, there is always some sort of dirt to everything I play anymore.

that's a great cheesy flick. Love how the undead turn into oatmeal when the get killed.
