Sadly I think my Traynor YBA-200-2 would be fine. If I keep the gain down I can turn up the master to like 6 in the house without shaking the windows.

Ive tried to micro pog, cool pedal, not a fan of octave up. Im looking for a blast of massive lows for pummeling riffs, so i thought down octaves.
If the mole doesnt work how I want, Ill try one of the behringers to not break the bank, and if that sucks, MXR is high on the list, since I love the Carbon Copy. And if those all fail, maybe an Ampeg Sub blaster clone.

100% agree. a fully functional V4 for bass sounds awesome. when mine worked i was running it with 2 V6B cabs with the original drivers, both 215 cabs. so a V4 with 4 15s, and it sounded great.
total side note, has anybody ever decided to make a clone of the V4 that isnt a total piece of unreliable ****? i mean for an amp that is universally considered a great sounding tube amp that everyone agrees is insanely unreliable, im surprised ive never heard of a great clone that fixed all of the issues and kept the same sweet sound.
i have considered it but generally people are not huge into buying a clone at 1600-1800 dollars when used units could be had for like 300-500
does not really matter if its the early or the late 70s units. They all kept the same design in terms of circuit layout and tube placement. Best thing on those amps is the iron.
Another problem is that no one makes a true 7027 nowadays that handles the high screen voltage in that amp. If I cloned it, it would be all KT88s

Heard tell that ampeg is re-issuing a 100 watt tube amp. Have to let a few get out into the field before anyone knows if they suck or rule.
I had the Behringer OC-2, great on guitar, but not too hot on Bass, you can find the Digitech Bass Synth Wah cheap used at GC usually. I think I got one shipped for like 40 bucks, way better than the OC-2. Plus you can fool around with the synth sounds, and the autowah, and autowah with octave on it. The BSW was my go to octave, until I played the MXR Octave Fuzz at GC. One octave down, and one octave up with fuzz, can do either on their own or together, I mostly use down octave with no fuzz, but it is fun to slam them together with fuzz, kind of eight stringy.

hmm, didnt see that but it wouldnt surprise me. if its not the V4 i wont care but i would like to hear a reissue if it is one.

yeah, im still convinced mine was damaged in transit and i just never called the place on it. i bought it way cheap so figured id have to dump money into it, but not that much. but yeah, mine was a 71 black line. it was previously owned by paul gilbert from Mr. Big lol.

Saw Sigur Ros last night.
This was my 4th time seeing them, they played in a stadium (which is the first I've ever seen them do that). I was nervous it was going to sound like crap, as do most stadium shows. But no, they were perfect, immense, and moving. I was completely captivated for their whole set, and just mind blown at how amazing they are live.
Also just puts to shame all the other bands that are trying to do similar things, and just failing horribly in comparison.
They just might be the best band in the world.
