Stoner/Doom Bassists 53: Loud Noises

Since my wife listens to NPR 98% (Necrophile Radio, since it's all just death, war, disease, war, death, and Science Friday.) of the time when she's in the car, I pretty much have free rein of the radio.

The cd function of my car radio stopped working so I was listening to NPR a lot because the radio channels are the pits in my area, either listen to classic rock, or a sort of alternative channel/classic rock channel, which soemtimes is great but too much Springstein and Bonnie Rait, way too much. But yesterday I got the radio swapped and man I am back to listening to my own music again, thank goodness

I hate when I get stuck in the "suck cycle" where everyone of my presets has a crap song on at the same time.

Brazilian Short Tail Possums(STO) we got two weekends back, shipped in from Chicago, I know they look like field mice, but they are a dwarf possum species from Brazil, a marsupial. Super cute and playful little buggers, we are hoping to breed them as they are a great pocket pet but so hard to find in Virginia.

Lol, pretty much a mini zoo. A few people were talking how they meet their significant others, and I met my girl at the pet store lol. For the last 15 years I have kept reptiles mostly, and she was in to the pocket pets and some reptiles too and of course, bunnies, birds, dogs, and cats. So yeah when have quite a collection. And we got a house last year and the house had this room that we made the animal room. She breeds pocket pets, grroms dogs and cats, and runs a pet store. I mostly just collect my dream reptiles, and let them breed if they want lol. We sell and trade pets and supplies at reptile shows. Over the years we have found the animals that truly make the best pets for people and try to only breed those, and at the shows we give people honest answers like no don't get that because of this and that, some people just want to sell anything for a quick buck.
Willow, what a classic movie!

Alright, here's the $10.oo OD i picked up yesterday:

From what little info I can find it's a TS clone. The case is plastic. I opended it up last night, tab on the pedal that pushes the switch is broken, I'll epoxy that back on. Big circuit board, with big through-hole components so it'll be easy to mod. Pots are mounted on a separate board, which should make a re-house fairly easy. I would only need to change the switch and jacks which are both mounted to the board. Haven't tried it out yet but I'll report back when I do.
