New Uncle Acid is pretty cool. Some good songs for sure. But I thought the last 3-4 songs were really boring, which ends up being only about half of a good album. Then again I felt the same way about the first album...
The dude is fishing, his "not sure" comment about the pickups gives me no confidence. Not to mention the "needs a setup, which I don't know how to do" doesn't say much about the functional condition, aside from cosmetic.
i have 2 of those old Ric copies, and paid about 1/2 that for each. one even has dual truss rods!
they are really great basses. so much so i sold my real Ric. i think mine are Univox from what ive seen.
next project is to set one up for BEAD tuning to replace my 5 string in me doom band.

Lol.... Come on brother, anything worth doing is worth overdoing! See, now you have your foot in the door, just sell some furniture or something. Your refrigerator! See? How often do you use that thing? That is just money sitting around not being used. And that's just one example. I am sure you have a lot of things lying around that can be turned over to the God of GAS!
