Well...I'm using either Studio One, Reaper, Audacity or Live. None of them do everything I need.
I have a free version of Amplitube 3 and have been trying a demo version of Guitar Rig. Studio One comes with a decent amp plugin.
I don't want to buy a full software package until I know exactly what functionality I need.
I picked up a simple Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 and it really sounds great. Right now I'm splitting the guitar signal and I'm monitoring with a cheap crate combo. For play back I'm using an amp plugin through some budget Alesis monitors.
I'm just trying to record our songs to a click for our drummer to program to. Our songs shift tempos 4 or 5 times per song.
