we start recording next weekend so no gigs until june. i love recording tho, always fun to put stuff down on "tape" and see just how much better it can sound than practice recordings.

Nope but my band is starting up again. My guitarist has been out of commission due to health problems, so I am totally psyched!

At the San Francisco show, they played zero reggae. They played some tunes sounded like new Orleans influenced, but nothing slow, nothing dubby.
Playing tomorrow night, 4/20. Triple fortieth birthday party combo, rented hall, two kegs (one of which is IPA).
Should be good fun.

The gig well is dry. Really sucks especially since the last show we did was sold out and awesome.
We don't play again until June 12th when we play with Windhand and Destroyer of Light. Hoping to get most of the recording done before then.
Im going out on a limb and say i like new OM as much as old OM. I look at it as a progression, from sleep to old OM, you obviously drop a guitarist while staying along the same wavelength and amp up the trance inducing groove. And new OM, which say starts with God is Good, adds the strings and world instruments. You lose some of the sleepness, it becomes more tribal world music, which I still really like, it just took me awhile to get into it.
Planning on meeting up with two local TB'ers today. Gonna pick up a ss/bs TAFM and have a beer with PWV and then Road Bull is coming down from Seattle later this evening to jam with us on drums! Should be a good day!

No gigs til May 11th. It sucks because we spent last week in the studio and I feel like I know the songs better than ever. I want to play a show NOW!!!
Oh yeah! Also got my custom painted RAT enclosure yesterday. Got it all put back together and it sounds better than I remember. Might kick the El Oso off my board. 
Scored a tortoise pickguard for my white Precision, too. Gonna be lookin' swank!
