No gigs this weekend, but had two this week and have three next week. This could be my first year in over a decade of less than 175+ shows average. Did about 235 last year. The girl used to be mad that I tour so much, now I think she likes me out of her hair from time to time :)

Oh yeah! Also got my custom painted RAT enclosure yesterday. Got it all put back together and it sounds better than I remember. Might kick the El Oso off my board.:rollno:

Scored a tortoise pickguard for my white Precision, too. Gonna be lookin' swank!

Sam's BAT Pharoah, has gotten me close to where I was with the El Oso (not as defined, but real close). I'm not missing it...yet ;)

White with tort is one of my faves!

Carvin's tort is a little more brown than some of the others. Kinda hard to capture it. But yeah... I love it!

I think one of my problems with the RAT before is that I had a little bit of a hum coming from the Concert Bass I had at the time...most likely an old cap on it's way out. When I would engage the pedal, it was feedback city.

When we scored the second Concert Bass for dirt cheap, we A/B'd them and I kept the one that sounded better and we switched the casings so I had the one in better condition. I hadn't used the RAT since before the switch, so when I plugged it in last night it sounded great. Still though, gotta run it at full volume to make a final decision.

I got a Pharaoh in trade on the way, jonesin to try it. I have a Green Russian GGG clone that is my favorite fuzz right now, wondering if it will sound different than a Green Russian or pretty similar? Of course I fell for the Green Russain sound so much I had a clone made that has a tone bypass and a clean blend and waiting on that as well. Probably end up with more pedals to sell lol.

The cool thing on the Pharoah is switchable. You can go from germanium to silicon. or none (which has a really big boost in volume, make sure you start your amp very quietly if using no diodes)

My usable setting is almost the exact opposite of what Sam had it set at with his gear (the gear you have now will play a major role to the end tone of this pedal).

It get's a little muddy, but it is really gutteral. Me gusto.

Ugh. Band I thought we were going to be able to share a practice space with already found a new band to replace the band that quit on them, so we're still screwed haha. The only current lead is some band looking for a space that the rental facility contacted me about because all their units are full. Not sure I'm prepared to share a space with strangers when our amp backline alone is worth $7000+
