Stoner/Doom Bassists #64 - sensitive artsy emo chicks

Oh and this also happened today. Grado RS1. Cream of the crop.

Oh man! Those are so cool...I recently picked up the cheapo SR 80's and they sound so much better than any headphones I have in the studio

For the price, the 80s are awesome and can easily compete with the higher end SR series from Grado. Based on how similar the 80s sounded to the 225 and 325 i wasn't expecting a huge difference with the RS1. But i was wrong. The RS1 is in a whole other league. Now i understand the "Grado sound".

So I've noticed a few of you nerding out over headphones. Anybody have a kickass headphone amp? I could use a good quality headphone amp that isn't too expensive.

Fiio E11, E12 or E07K, E17 if you need a DAC as well. Ibasso D-Zero, JDS labs C5. All are under $200 and sound great as well as portable. Don't know much about non-portable other than the Little Dot amps but they have become more expensive. Depends on your budget i guess.

Sweet, looks like I got some googling to do.

Fvck me those little dot mark viii look sweet! Never gonna happen, but sweet. Might score a smaller one though, time to read, cork-sniffing tube snobs split hairs....

Locrian is not a major key, its a minor scale with a b2 and b5.

Now if youll excuse me, i have to finish my dissertation on the 12 tone row. *adjusts spectacles*

Locrian is, in sound, about as far away from a major key as you can get! Though, of course, in terms of modes, it's the right next to natural major.

It's very hard to play anything with chords in Locrian without accidentals, since its tonic triad had no perfect fifth.

Hello Doomy folks. My gas is relentless lately. My wife is getting sick of hearing me talk about guitar and bass related items lol. Current plans -> sell ehx small clone and polytune and get a zoom ms-70cdr. Found out it has a built in tuner and I rarely use much modulation, though I'm on a filter kick.

I think you mean "G.A.S," dude-- "gas" is what happens hours after the consumption of fried onions and/or cabbage.

Most Scots have been telling me happy 4th of July or happy Independence day. In which I reply, Good luck with the ballot, because they are voting for independence from the UK next year and Im sure they like anyone who can stick it to the Brits.

I wonder if they'll really vote to declare independence from the UK.

Would they set up a different government or just have the devolved Scottish Parliament be it, I wonder?

Doesn't help the UK that right now in the national parliament, the Tories are in power.
