there's a lot of demon on one page already.
my 'tone' board is nearly complete. i'm so very excited. just need some more velcro and for my volume pedal to arrive.
pedal chain:
Korg Pitchblack -> VFE Mini Mu -> Bluebeard -> DOD 250 -> El Oso -> custom volume pedal
i'm vaguely tempted to put one of those stage-light things on my board like laz's guitarist.. can't find an easy source in new zealand though. i kind of really need something to illuminate my fretboard on dark stages.. oh and it looks totally badass.

All set except for loading some speakers in it.

i really like jeff mattz (the bassist of the last two albums) he from a punk band called zeke and its really bass driven, he brought that over the top bass lead style to stoner/doom and won, big time!

HoF has one of my favorite heavy tones out there. Their bass player brings it!
Huge fan of HoF, there's something about the blend of stoner, a bit of Motorhead and a light sprinkling of eighties thrash that just works so well!
I went to Intronaut last night. This is the 2nd time I saw them (1st time they opened for Mastodon and Kylessa). My only complaint is that they didn't play for three hours. They are just so nasty.
I'm not chasing Joe Lester's tone, but it works so well with that band. I really dig that he could Jaco-it-up if he wanted to, but he doesn't. So tasty, so nasty.

Did they end the set with the guitarists walking off stage leaving Joe and Danny to jam for a couple of minutes? That's how they ended in Orlando and it made me giddy haha.

Yes they did, which was awesome, but it was also he same way they ended when I saw them w/ Mastodon in 2009. I was psyched they played The Literal Black Cloud. That track is so brutal, but it's a locrian riff, which is a major key w/ a sharp 4. I picked up on a strong Alice in Chains vocal influence hearing the Habitual Levitations stuff live. That's all I have to say about non-stoner bands today.
But we'd be too drunk lighting fireworks and throwing firecrackers at each other to miss it.
Or in this case free weedeater concert tonight!
